Hoo Boy: Kash Patel Ends Cory Booker in Wild Exchange Where Senator Loses His Mind

FBI Director Kash Patel is testifying Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee in the annual oversight hearing.

It's already had fireworks when Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) dropped a bombshell about how far the Biden FBI targeting had reached, according to whistleblowers, including focusing on Republican organizations such as Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA.

Then they got to the Democrats' time to grill Kash Patel, and so much for their argument that they are trying to "turn the temperature down" in the wake of the assassination of Kirk.

As our sister site Twitchy observed, the questioning by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) hit new levels of insanity, even for him. This wasn't legitimate questioning - this was an attempt to slander Patel, with Booker saying he didn't think Patel was "fit" to run the FBI. He said he didn't think he was long for his job. But he said that he "prayed for Patel," that he could do a better job.

My gosh, what a performative piece of nonsense this was from Booker. Check out the wild eyes at the end of the rant. He thinks this makes him look tough. Instead, it just makes him look crazy.

Patel was having NONE OF IT.

Then, Patel ripped him into next week for the "rant of false information," which wasn't bringing the country together. That's when Booker truly lost it, interrupting Patel's time to speak and shouting, "My God! My God."

Patel cut him short, noting it was "his time" to address Booker's falsehoods. He then nuked Booker as an "embarrassment" as Booker continued to yell.

Grassley has to step in to scold Booker and say they were already warned about not doing that, and letting the witness speak.

That was when Patel truly put Booker back on his heels. If his FBI was failing, why had they done more than the Biden FBI, including catching more violent felons and an increase in seizing fentanyl than had been done under Biden in the past year?

-1,600 kilograms of fentanyl seized

Patel said they had far more counterintelligence arrests as well.

Meanwhile, as Patel continues to do what he should be doing, we're hearing more disturbing allegations about the Biden FBI.

Maybe Booker thinks he can distract from that dirty laundry. I think it might be part that, part performance for a presidential run. However, when he acts like this, he keeps reinforcing just how unhinged and unreasonable he is.
