Bill Maher Makes Stunning Admissions on Being Wrong About Trump

Bill Maher is evidence that even a Democrat who doesn't like President Donald Trump can be changed, if he's honest when confronted by reality.

It's too bad that more liberal media types won't do this, but Maher made some big admissions this week on his "Club Random" show. What made it better was that he was saying it to Brian Tyler Cohen, a progressive who spends a lot of time pushing anti-Trump stuff.

Maher said he thought that the tariffs were going to implode the economy (because that's what the liberal media "experts" were saying). "But that didn't happen, so let's work from reality."

Warning for graphic language in the following videos:

"Let's work first from the reality of that, not 'I just hate Donald Trump,'" he said.

"Because that's boring, and doesn't get us anywhere. And leads you to dishonesty....The stock market is at record highs....I don't see a country in a depression at all. I see people out there just living their lives.

"And I would have thought — and I gotta own it — that these tariffs were going to f***ing sink this economy by this time — and they didn't. So, how do we feel with that fact? Because that's the fact."

He also chastised those on the left who attacked him for having dinner with Trump. He said that one of the "stupidest things the left does" is thinking they are better than Trump supporters, like calling them "deplorables," and not wanting to talk.

"That is their attitude — and that makes me sick too!" he declared. "I'm glad I break bread!"

"Good luck. See how far that gets you," he sniped at the left.

He praised Trump as a "people person." That's why Trump connects with people when so many politicians do not — he's "real." It's why people who talk with him say he's kind and open to them.

But Maher wasn't done yet. He just "loved" the strikes on the Iranian nuclear sites.

"I loved it. That was a home run.

"And I'm a guy who was always saying ... we should try to see if the Obama plan — the peace deal that Obama made — can work.

"Maybe I was wrong."

Yes, you were, Bill, and good that you acknowledge that now. In the contest between appeasement of bad behavior and strength to shut it down, strength wins.

Those are some pretty big admissions. Would that more in the media were honest enough to admit this, and so many other things they are wrong about when it comes to Trump. Imagine if they just honestly reported on all the things that Trump has done in the first six months of his second term.

But as I wrote earlier, the American people are seeing it, whether the liberal media is straight about it or not. Like Bill, they like what they're seeing on the Iran strike and other foreign policy issues.

They're seeing that the tariffs can pay off, are bringing in billions, and may now even help to pay down the debt.

Even Trump was pleased that Maher made the tariff remark, and he acknowledged it on Truth Social with a "Thanks Bill!"

And that's why you open the lines of communication with things like a dinner, because that may just lead to more movement and honesty.

Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
