Barack Obama finally responded to the bombshell revelations dropped by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard last Friday about the Russia Collusion hoax and what she termed a "years long coup" against President Donald Trump.

Obama's response wasn't much. "These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction," that statement from his spokesman said. The statement claimed that nothing in the new revelations undercut the "widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes."

As we reported, Gabbard responded on Fox to what Obama said, calling it the "art of deflection" and saying Obama didn't address the documents she raised in her release.

"The intelligence community had one assessment — that Russia did not have the intent or capability to try to impact the outcome of the U.S. election, leading up to election day. The same assessment was made after Donald Trump was elected by the American people as President in 2016, defeating Hillary Clinton... President Obama then directed his DNI James Clapper to lead the effort to create this new intelligence community assessment that detailed not if, but how Moscow attempted to influence the outcome of the U.S. election."

She said there was a "180-degree" shift from the original assessment, after Trump won, that contradicted the prior finding.

Gabbard then went on Newsmax with Rob Schmitt and amplified even more, as our sister site Townhall explained.

“We will be releasing further documents tomorrow that will refute that statement,” she said about the Obama remarks.

We will be pulling a whole host of statements that were made by the Obama administration, by Hillary Clinton, by senior Democrat officials, by their friends in the media that state over and over again, after this January 2017 manufactured intelligence document was created, that repeat the narrative... There is a vast body of evidence and intelligence that debunks and refutes this statement you just read, and others coming from some of the Democratic leaders in Congress today.

The fact that Obama responded at all shows you he knows how serious this is. He knows he can't just fluff it off — he has to try to staunch the furor over it. This is going to be fun to see him scrambling as even more stuff drops. Additionally, as we've reported, Gabbard also revealed there were whistleblowers, so what they have will be coming.

Grab the popcorn, this is sounding better and better — that there finally might be action.
