I wrote Monday about the deafening silence from former President Barack Obama and his minions in his intelligence circle after DNI Tulsi Gabbard accused them of "treasonous conspiracy" for conjuring up a fake Russiagate scandal in 2016 with the intention of taking down President Trump. They had all weekend to respond and came up with zilch.
On Tuesday, however, Trump—now president again—upped the ante by telling reporters at the White House, “This was treason,” and that Obama was “guilty” and “crooked as a three-dollar bill.”
Obama evidently didn’t take too kindly to that and issued a snitty statement:
"Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response," Obama spokesman Patrick Rodenbush said in a statement. "But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one."
He continued, claiming that it was all an effort at “distraction.” Distraction from what, exactly? All the winning that Trump has accomplished in just a little over six months?
"These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction," Obama's spokesman continued. "Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes."

Obama then tried the lame tactic used in recent coverage by the mainstream media: he claimed this had all been discredited years ago.
He added: "These findings [that Russia tried to interfere with the election] were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio."
But that’s not the question at hand here. The bigger question isn’t whether Russia tried to interfere, but whether you and your intelligence team tried to destroy the presidency of a duly elected commander in chief. Gabbard brought plenty of receipts, and if she’s correct, then the answer is very much “yes.”
Trump accused numerous Obamaworld flunkies of engaging in the plot:
"And Biden was there with him, and Comey was there, and Clapper, the whole group was there. Brennan. They were all there in the room right here. This is the room," Trump said from the Oval Office Tuesday during a meeting with the president of the Philippines. "It was President Obama. It was lots of people all over the place."
None of the former Obama-era officials have responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Obama’s statement will please no one, because it says almost nothing and doesn’t get to the heart of the matter. So far, though, he’s the only one of the cabal who's even talking. That says a lot about them.
