DOD Wrecks Gavin Newsom's Lame Attack on National Guard Deployment in L.A.

The Democrats' response to the riots in Los Angeles has been disgraceful. From Mayor Karen Bass to California Gov. Gavin Newsom, they seemed more focused on attacking President Donald Trump and ICE for enforcing the law than dealing with the problem.

There were federal agents at a federal building being attacked, and they didn't get a response from the LAPD for two hours. That was just the start. The National Guard was deployed, as were Marines. Trump put focus on the area. U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli hinted that he'd be investigating the finances of nonprofit organizations involved in the mayhem. Lo and behold, the riots largely petered out. Trump has now withdrawn the Marines and 2000 of the National Guard. The remaining guard may follow shortly.

Newsom acts as if there was no reason for the deployment of the Guard, calling it a"sham deployment."

This sham deployment of the California National Guard is a massive waste of time and taxpayer money — costing the @DeptofDefense millions while pulling troops from real missions like fire response.@realDonaldTrump, end the militarization once and for all. Do the right thing.

The violence was not a "sham," Governor.

Here's just a small sample of what federal agents had to deal with.

Local officers faced attack as well. Again, just a small sample.

Caring about these officers and protecting the law-abiding citizens should be Newsom's priority, not illegal aliens, and political attacks against Trump.

The Department of Defense account on X put Gavin to shame.

Governor, thugs took over your streets and were attacking federal agents…

You did nothing to stop this madness, so we stepped in….

God bless our Marines and Guardsmen.

Newsom should be thanking them. But he's shameless.

Oh, and one more point: the gall of Gavin Newsom to talk about wasting taxpayer money and "fire response."
