I laughed when I saw the following tweet. It was a New York Times op-ed from a former Biden adviser on the border.
An actual op ed in The New York Times from Blas Nuñez-Neto, an assistant secretary for border and immigration policy at Biden's DHS:

No offense to the guy who wrote it, Blas Nuñez-Neto, an Assistant Secretary for Border and Immigration Policy, but why would we listen to anyone who was an adviser to the Biden administration, when Joe Biden was the one who broke the border and allowed so many people to flood in?
“Our broken immigration laws have increasingly incentivized economic migrants to claim that they fear persecution in order to start a lengthy administrative process that allows them to remain in the United States and work,” Nuñez-Neto wrote.
Yes, and it got worse under Biden.
Nuñez-Neto did admit there were problems.
“The failure to acknowledge this reality and take timely action to try to resolve it cost Democrats a great deal of trust with American voters and contributed to President [Donald] Trump’s return to the White House,” he wrote.
No kidding.
President Donald Trump has resolved the border problem that he inherited from Joe Biden. It turns out we didn't need new legislation to solve it — we just needed a new president, as we have said in the past.
That NY Times headline also prompted a lot of mockery. When you live in a liberal media bubble, perhaps you don't consider how such headlines are going to play with people.
People had a lot of fun responding to it, as Vice President JD Vance explained. He got a lot of laughter when he mentioned the headline at an event in Pennsylvania.

One of the best responses that Vance cited was from the Homeland Security account. They were right on target.

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) had thoughts as well.

Ooh, now that's cold. But it's true. Are there still issues that need to be worked out? Of course. But now we finally have security at the border, and we even have people who came illegally who are self-deporting.
That's what truly addressing the problem will get you.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
