One of the most common lies from the Democrats right now is that President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief Elon Musk are cutting Social Security, Medicare, and/or Medicaid. It's one of the things they use to whip up fear in the American people.
Of course, there's a problem with this claim. It isn't even close to being the truth. Elon Musk has not cut Social Security or Medicare, he's been trying to clean up waste. Trump has repeatedly said there wouldn't be cuts to Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid.
However, that hasn't stopped the Democrats from spreading the false claim.

Democrats Are Again Lying About Supposed Medicare/Medicaid Cuts in the Budget CR
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) was at it during a CNN interview, as she spoke about the bill being considered in Congress this week.
Representative Pramila Jayapal gets called out by CNN's Boris Sanchez over a false narrative about Elon Musk and President Trump proposing to cut Medicaid and Medicare in the Big Beautiful Bill.

Jayapal claimed the bill cut "$880 billion from Medicaid." She further claimed the bill would allow Trump to "destroy all of the federal agencies. She also said it cut Social Security and Medicare, and that Musk wanted to cut them. All of that spew is false.
While Jayapal saying something like that wasn't unusual, what was notable was that CNN's Boris Sanchez just nuked the falsehoods.
Sanchez said about her attack on Musk, "Just to be precise, Congresswoman, I believe that in that sound-bite, Elon Musk was talking about fraud in those entitlement programs being the big ones they had to tackle."
Sanchez also pointed out how Trump said he will not "sign anything that cuts Medicaid."
Here's one example of Trump saying there would be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid. He said that they would get the fraud out.
Democrats are currently raging saying Medicare and Medicaid will be cut.

Trump: “Social Security won't be touched, other than if there's fraud or something. It's going to be strengthened.
Medicare, Medicaid none of that stuff is going to be touched”pic.twitter.com/sKU0PKabcY
That would help to preserve the programs, not hurt them. You would think you would want to clean up waste and fraud. However, Democrats keep coming out on the wrong side of that issue.
All they have is hoaxes that are so bad even CNN can't let them slide. https://t.co/4GHmu7SvFn

It's about time that the Democrats get called on that.
When even CNN is cutting down the Democrats' false talking points, you know that the points are not going over well and that the Democrats' efforts to demonize Trump and the Republicans are failing.
I don't think what Sanchez did will change the American people's opinions about CNN any time soon, but they should keep it up and keep reporting the truth anyway.
