It's certainly been a fire-breathing meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Volodymyr Zelensky.

As we reported, it did not go well, with Zelensky getting up in the face of Trump. He was trying to dictate to Trump and Vance, telling them they were wrong about things, without any appreciation for what the United States has done for his country. 

This is entirely Zelensky’s fault. Trump greeted him graciously, was ready to turn the page. Just said he wanted to get help Ukraine get it’s territory back. And Z comes in and gets into a fight in public? I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. https://t.co/633sPiJQPn

Trump and Vance were not having any of that. It was a bizarre position to take when Ukraine is so reliant on U.S, help in the war with Russia. 

Trump was furious and felt Zelensky had disrespected the U.S. in the Oval Office. He announced that things were on a hold [presumably the economic deal] until Zelensky was ready to talk about peace. 

There was supposed to be a press conference but that was canceled and they didn't end up signing the mineral deal. So I don't know what Zelensky thought he was getting by behaving this way, but it wasn't good for Ukraine.

**WHEN I WENT TO UPPER PRESS TO ASK WHAT WAS GOING ON, THE LUNCH THAT TRUMP AND ZELENSKYY WERE SUPPOSED TO DINE ON AND TALK OVER WAS SITTING IN THE HALLWAY. I’M TOLD WHITE HOUSE PRESS OFFICE STAFFERS WILL BE EATING IT.

Wow. Zelensky really blew it, with that ungrateful attitude. If they're giving away his lunch to the press office staffers, how made they must be with how he behaved? I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it. They would be toast without us, but he didn't seem to have any gratitude at all in the meeting. 

But it sounds like they're already backpedaling, knowing this was a very bad move by Zelensky. They better get their act together if they hope to salvage this at all, because Trump is not going to put up with this kind of behavior, he's not Joe Biden.
