Ah, it's so nice to know as we count down to Jan. 20, 2025, that Joe and Jill Biden will soon no longer be occupying the White House.
I think they're feeling it a little too, knowing they're no longer going to have any power. I wrote a couple of days ago about how it appeared to some that Jill was trolling Kamala as she talked about the "joy" of the season. I can certainly believe that about her. She seemed to know exactly how what she was saying would be taken, and she didn't seem to care. She definitely was feeling her oats.

They have to feel ticked off that Joe was pushed aside for Kamala Harris and then on top of that, Harris lost, badly. Jill coyly said to the media, "You're all reading into that." Translation: I know how what I'm saying will be taken.

On Friday, the White House held a "Toys for Tots" event at the White House. That's an event they have conducted for years as part of the Marine Corps Reserve campaign. So there were several dozen kids from military families, who were at the White House to be involved in the event to help sort the toys for kids in need.
Jill was waving and saying hello to the children, flanked by a Marine. But when she said, "Hello kids. Happy holidays," she got a very loud response she might not have expected from some of the children.

Kids in the crowd: "Happy CHRISTMAS!" pic.twitter.com/aPCT1kj7kO
"Happy Christmas!" one child trumpeted, then a chorus of children chimed in.
She seemed surprised, but responded, "Happy Christmas, yes."
But you could see her pursing her lips at the end of that clip, so she didn't look exactly happy at the children's response. That prompted many on X to laugh at the kids putting Jill Biden on the spot.
Jill Biden also got some criticism online over the carnival nature of some of the decorations.
Decorations for the Biden's final Christmas at the White House had quite a bit of carnival theming mixed with traditional holiday decor.

Jill Biden’s Christmas decorations look like what would happen if a group of circus clowns projectile vomitted all over the White House, which I guess is the perfect metaphor to sum up the last four years. pic.twitter.com/L69VkNMLTo

She had some kind of weird circus theming going on for 2023 too, particularly with the release of a video that some called "Hunger Games at the Circus."

Jill also was criticized when she received the White House Christmas tree, when she talked about how the tree had survived Hurricane Helene -- it was a symbol of North Carolina's resilience. So why did they chop it down?
“This one remained standing."

Many thought that was an odd thing to do, to then chop it down for the White House.
Then, too, the White House has left some of the people in North Carolina suffering from the hurricane still hanging, without help.
