Elizabeth Warren Gets Demolished After She Blasts Trump's SecDef Pick

Folks on the left are losing their minds over President-elect Donald Trump picking Fox News host Pete Hegseth as his Secretary of Defense.

Of course, they're concentrating on the "Fox News" part — which is really frosting them — without bothering to look at the rest of Hegseth's resume. Perhaps one of the worst responses was this clueless tweet from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

A Fox & Friends weekend co-host is not qualified to be the Secretary of Defense.I lead the Senate military personnel panel. All three of my brothers served in uniform. I respect every one of our servicemembers. Donald Trump’s pick will make us less safe and must be rejected.

It sounded like she didn't have any idea of Hegseth's military background since she claimed she respects "every one of our service members."

Warren is not respecting Hegseth when she attacks him this way. Hegseth got a B.A. from Princeton and a Masters in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He has been an infantry officer in the Minnesota National Guard. Unlike Tim Walz, he actually served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He earned two Bronze stars and a combat infantry badge, in addition to other awards. He was a platoon leader and was a senior counter-insurgency instructor. He was also the executive director for two veterans groups, Vets for Freedom and Concerned Vets. He's also written a best-selling book on how we have to return our military to "meritocracy, lethality, accountability, and excellence," which is what we truly need.

Maybe what's needed to truly help the military is someone who didn't come to the position by way of Raytheon, and who knows what the guys on the line think because he was one.

The 'Defense World' Freak Out Over Pete Hegseth Is Epic, and It Tells Us Everything We Need to Know

I want to know what Warren's experience is to "lead" a Senate military personnel panel if she wants to talk about experience. Imagine Warren — of anyone — questioning anyone else's background when she made sketchy claims about her own background and heritage.

Plus, let's talk about how Joe Biden hung our military out to dry in Afghanistan, for example, getting 13 service members killed and leaving behind hundreds of Americans. And no one has been held accountable.

But Warren's objection might indicate that Hegseth's selection will face a battle from the Democrats.

People let loose on Warren on X and on the attacks on Hegseth.
