You're Not Going to Believe This One: Big New Position for Karine Jean-Pierre

Joe Biden has been one of the worst, if not the worst, person ever to occupy the Oval Office.

Not only has he been bad, but the incompetence has run throughout his administration, including with Kamala Harris, who failed at her one main job of helping to secure the border.

But there's another face of failure in the administration that we can't leave out — that is White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. While it's certainly common to have a press secretary who will put the best face on things for the current administration, she's reached new heights (or depths) in her failure to answer questions and provide information to the American people. She's constantly just spinning nonsense.

Her attitude is, frankly, insulting, as though the American people don't have a right to know the information. She was still spinning after Joe Biden's cognitive decline just couldn't be argued away after the debate, for example. She even walked out of the room on Monday when she didn't like the questions from Fox's Peter Doocy about the hurricane response.

There have been questions about whether or not she might be replaced during her time in the position.

But you'll never guess what Joe Biden (or whoever is really running things) just did.

She has now been promoted to "senior adviser" to Biden, according to Good Morning America.

"Karine has been a trusted advisor to the President and all of us here at the White House since day one. Her counsel will be critical to get as much done as possible for the American people in the coming months," said Jeff Zients, the president’s chief of staff. [....]

Jean-Pierre will now be alongside the ranks of the president's top confidantes like senior advisers Mike Donilon, Steve Richetti and Bruce Reed. A White House official said that her promotion shows the faith that Biden has in her, as well as his commitment to having diverse and inter-generational voices guiding him in his decisions.

So are they promoting her to get her out of the press secretary position and get someone better in the position? Because when I first heard this news, that's what I immediately thought.

But no, unbelievably:

Jean-Pierre will begin her new role effective immediately. She will also maintain her press secretary duties through the end of Biden's administration, the first press secretary in decades to also hold the title of senior adviser.

So why? It seems an odd move when Biden is almost out the door. She would only hold the title for a few months. Is this the reward for the spinning? Nobody gets fired for incompetence in this administration.

If Biden (or the powers that be) really thinks she deserves the position, that's a comment about how far out of whack he is at this point. Does she know where the bodies are buried on Joe's issues?
