Biden WH Briefing: Tone Deaf on Hurricane, Feeds Netanyahu Conspiracy Theory, Throws Kamala Under Bus

In a surprise move, Joe Biden showed up at the White House press briefing on Friday.

The reason he showed up was because he wanted to brag about the jobs numbers. But that showed how clueless he is, when the thing at the top of everyone's mind is the crisis affecting people in the areas hit by Hurricane Helene where people are still in trouble.

How clueless was he? When he came in he made a weird comment about, "Welcome to the swimming pool."

Maybe not the best comment when Americans have been swept away in flood waters.

He immediately started slurring.

He seemed to copy Kamala's word salad talent.

He continued to repeat his common lies about "creating 16 million new jobs."

The only thing he said about the hurricane was there were going to be "unforeseen costs."

Then, this was truly delusional. He said he would think about other "alternatives" rather than striking Iranian oil fields. Biden was asked about if Netanyahu was trying to influence the election, and he should have just knocked that down. Instead, he fed the conspiracy theory. Unbelievable.

He insisted no administration had helped Israel more than him. That's not true, because former President Donald Trump increased the peace for Israel and the Middle East. "Bibi should remember that," he said ominously. "Whether he's trying to influence the election or not, I don't know, but I'm not counting on that."

Biden was asked if he had spoken to Netanyahu, and he got all defensive but ended up admitting he personally hadn't been in contact with him, although the teams had been in contact with each other.

He seems to despise Netanyahu more than Iran, Hamas, or Hezbollah. The lunacy is astonishing.

He refused to say what sanctions, if any, he would put on Iran.

He said barely anything about the hurricane. It was incredibly troubling that he was more concerned about bragging about what he perceived as good news versus answering questions about Americans in need.

What he did say was that he and Kamala Harris were the same. That, of course, doesn't help her sell that she's "new" or any kind of change.

That was also funny, given that CNN was just about to cut away to cover Kamala's remarks when Biden came to talk. So they either weren't coordinating and weren't in "constant contact. Or maybe he was trying to step on her while she was trying to talk about the temporary settlement on the port strike.

Then he tells White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre he has to go after answering a few questions and not really offering much as to the hurricane.

I don't know if he's going to hold it together until he's out.
