Unconscionable: Reports Reveal Biden Delayed Aid Efforts With His Visit to North Carolina

Joe Biden visited hurricane-affected North Carolina on Wednesday after he had received a lot of criticism for the optics of remaining on the beach over the weekend while people were dying. He even did a flyover of the area.

But he didn't meet with any of the victims.

Add to that, Kamala Harris then offered people $750 in immediate aid. She mentioned they could apply online. But many people had lost everything and couldn't apply online, and many still don't have power. Plus, $750 dollars in the face of the Biden-Harris team pouring out millions to Ukraine and for illegal aliens incurred a lot of anger.

My colleague Streiff also reported on how Biden dawdled in ordering federal troops to help out.

Joe Biden's Dawdling in Ordering Federal Troops for Disaster Relief Is Incompetent, Malicious, or Both

Now, there are also reports that Biden delayed aid efforts because of his visit to North Carolina on Wednesday.

It's important to note because of the roads being wiped out and a lot of the people needing help being in hard to reach areas, a lot of the help has to be done by flying it in.

According to The Blaze correspondent Julio Rosas, who was covering rescue operations in the area:

Having talked with locals and volunteers in North Carolina: Despite Biden saying his visit to the area would not affect rescue/aid operations, his visit halted/delayed operations because of the no-fly zone.

That was a problem because many communities can only be accessed by air.

I can personally confirm Biden’s visit delayed operations because the helo team I’m with had to sit outside the TFR for two hours after doing a supply run. We’re about to be in the air again for another supply drop.

Rosas' report was also backed up by Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL). Mills has been involved for the last few days helping out and providing aid by helicopter to the hurricane-affected area. He's an example of what a real "public servant" is. He's also been posting daily reports on what's happening.

Mills said one of the things that slowed them down was the Biden flight restrictions that were put on the area for about four hours.

Mills called this "irresponsible" and said "Search and Rescue" was even grounded. Mills has also criticized FEMA for not responding appropriately, forcing individuals and private organizations to have to fill the gap to help the people affected. He said at least if they weren't doing what they should be doing, they shouldn't get in the way of the organizations that were doing the work.
