WATCH: Fani Willis Freaks Out During Her Testimony, Starts Screaming 'You Lied!' at Defense Attorney

I'm not sure who told Fulton County DA Fani Willis that it was a good idea to testify at the disqualification hearing that was held on Thursday. She had been trying to quash the subpoena but then decided to testify.

It was a complete disaster.

Willis was combative, defensive, and especially for a prosecutor, a terrible witness.

She claimed that she was eager to testify and rushed right over to do so. But it did not go well. She had no decorum and kept trying to perform rather than answer the questions. She even accused the defense attorney for Michael Roman, Ashleigh Merchant, of having interests that are contrary to "democracy."

Then she accused Merchant of lying about her.

Question: Did you listen to any of the arguments?

"I’ve been in my office pacing," Willis said, before accusing Ashleigh Merchant — criminal defense attorney for one of Trump's co-defendants in the 2020 Georgia election meddling and racketeering case — of lying earlier this week when Merchant argued for Willis and Wade to be forced to testify today.
"You lied on Monday and yet here we are," Willis said to Merchant. "How dishonest you were with the court on Monday, I’m actually surprised the hearing continued. But since it did here I am."

Except it isn't Merchant who has been contradicted by other testimony, it's Nathan Wade and Wiilis, whose former friend testified that Willis' relationship with Wade began in 2019 contrary to what the pair had told the Court.

Willis even attacked the media and spoke over the judge.

Then Willis really freaked out here, when asked if Wade slept at her home, screaming she was being lied about.

The judge had to call a recess because it was getting out of control.

I wonder if she flipped out to avoid answering the question, and the judge may have had the same thought.

The judge warned her he would strike her testimony if she failed to answer specific questions.

She also unbelievably claimed that she didn't know that she had to disclose any personal relationships with those under contract.

If I were to guess, after this testimony, the testimony of Robin Yertie earlier that busted them on the start of the relationship, and Wade's testimony, that possibility of disqualification just jumped big time.

This is an embarrassment at this point.
