JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has donated to Democrats in the past, so I think what he had to say about former President Donald Trump might have just shocked a lot of people.
He also said it on multiple networks, on CNBC and Fox, so he clearly wanted to get his point out there.
What was Dimon's point? That it's wrong for Democrats (like Joe Biden) to be attacking MAGA voters because, as he pointed out, people are voting for Trump because he was right on several policy issues. This is a criticism of Democratic tactics, but it's also some basic truth.
I think it's fair to say this is very bad for Biden.
BREAKING - EXPLOSIVE: JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon tells CNBC people are voting for Trump because he was right about the economy, immigration, and China, says people should be a bit more respectful of MAGA people. They know what they are doing. WATCH pic.twitter.com/fMHgLrZF0d

Dimon said he was very concerned about what 2024 had to bring. "If I were the government, I would be preparing for what I was going to do about that, assuming things weren't good." Yet Biden is just busy telling us everything is wonderful when everyone (including Dimon) knows it's not.
"I wish the Democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA," Dimon said. He said the Democrats were basically scapegoating MAGA voters. Biden just gave a speech earlier this month attacking MAGA as a danger to democracy.
Dimon said he didn't think they were voting for Trump because of his family values.
Take a step back. Be honest. He was kind of right about NATO, Kind of right about immigration. He grew the economy quite well. Tax reform worked. He was right about some of China...He wasn't wrong about some of these critical issues. And that's why they're voting for him. And I think people should be a little more respectful of our fellow citizens.
The CNBC host said, "It's hard to hate 75 million people."
Dimon agreed, chastising the Democrats for their efforts to do so, talking about their "Deplorables" and "Bibles and guns" comments.
"Really? Can we just stop that stuff and grow up, and treat other people respectful and listen to them a little bit?" He said he believed this negative talk about MAGA was going to hurt Biden's campaign.
Interestingly, Elon Musk said that Dimon "said it well."

Dimon made similar comments earlier in the month to Fox's Maria Bartiromo saying again he wasn't wrong on critical issues.
"He grew the economy. He was right about NATO, they spend more money. He was right… about China. He was right that… some regulations do not cause positive output. So, that's why they're voting for him, and I think the Democrats should be a little more thoughtful when they talk about ‘MAGA.’"
Now this is just simple truth. But it's shocking because it's a Democrat and because it was aired without him being shouted down by the folks on CNBC, likely because it's the business folks so they know it's true too.
Then the other part is that if he's thinking this, a lot of other folks in the middle are going to be getting it as well. and that may swing those folks toward Trump and the Republicans because of the extremism of the Biden and the left. When all you have is failure or demonizing to pitch, you don't have much of a campaign.
