I wrote recently about how the Biden team is employing a new strategy to try to make Joe appear "younger" by having him do fewer formal speeches and not wear a tie. Unfortunately for them, they have the same old product they're trying to sell--Joe Biden.
Part of the problem -- or maybe it's part of the strategy too -- is that he just can't seem to admit to any problems. As I wrote earlier, in the face of Americans' concern about the economy, he claimed that we have "the best economy in the world."

But that isn't the only fantasy that he's pushing. He made remarks on the South Lawn on Saturday as he headed out for more vacation, this time to Camp David for the weekend.
Biden was asked by Fox's Lucas Tomlinson if he would call the situation on the southern border a crisis.

BIDEN: "No" pic.twitter.com/UUya0vE62w
Biden replied, "No," despite all the panoply of evidence to the contrary.
There were the most illegal aliens encountered ever in December 2023--more than 300,000--and that doesn't even count the people the CBP didn't encounter, who just came across the porous border. But to Biden, that's not a "crisis," even as cities are overwhelmed and students are being moved out of schools to accommodate illegal aliens who were otherwise being held in untenable situations.

Even Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) said, "There's a crisis at the border and I don't know how anyone could pretend that there isn't." Case in point: Joe Biden.

Fox's Jacqui Heinrich took note of that.

On Saturday, Biden then tried to blame the Republicans for the crisis that he just claimed didn't exist.
But I wish they would react. I’ve been pushing them — my Republican colleagues — since I got into office. I think we have to make major changes at the border. I’ve been pushing it. I’m prepared to make significant alterations at the border. And there are negotiations going on for the last five weeks, so I’m hopeful we’ll get there. [....]
I’ve been pushing for fundamental change on the border for a long time — a long time. And so, I’m hopeful. I’m going to let those negotiations play out. But other than that, I’m going to take action myself.
How can anyone believe this? He's ripped apart the security that had been in place since he came in. The Republicans have been screaming for action on the border from him ever since. Yet, now he wants to try to blame them for the crisis that he created? If he won''t even acknowledge there's a crisis, how can he possibly address it?
House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) laid out how false this statement is.
Ridiculous. There IS a crisis at the border, and it’s of Joe Biden’s making. @HouseGOP passed the strongest border security legislation in decades nearly a year ago. He has ignored it.

Biden got blasted for such crazy delusion.
12,600 illegal crossings in a single day, 302,000 in a single month from 150 countries... but not a "crisis" @POTUS ??? https://t.co/nohFe7X7gZ
