I wrote on Monday about the Orwellian change that the White House was pushing regarding Joe Biden’s communication with his son about the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. Biden’s position for years has been that he never spoke to his son about his business.
As we’ve reported for years, that’s wrong on so many levels – he has spoken to his son, he’s allegedly spoken by phone at business meetings at least 24 times; he’s even met with the business associates as we’ve reported — with pictures to prove it. By one count, the business associates visited the White House 80 times. The fact that Joe continues to try to claim that he never spoke to him is just nonsense.
It’s so ridiculous and so clearly false, that on Monday, the White House tried to affect a makeover of the response from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“I’ve been asked this question a million times. The answer is not going to change. The answer remains the same,” Jean-Pierre claimed. Joe Biden was “never in business with his son.”
But as I wrote, the answer did change; that wasn’t what she said a million times. What she said a million times is he’s “never spoken” to his son about his business. Then even with this answer, what she didn’t answer was a question on the new report about Devon Archer saying Joe Biden was on the phone during business meetings at least 24 times. She refused to deny that.
On Wednesday, reporters went at it again, cornering Jean-Pierre on that question, noting that the language/answer had changed. “The president has previously said that he has never discussed overseas business dealings with his son, but the White House now says that the president has never been in business with his son. So, why the updated language?” RealClearNews reporter Philip Wegmann asked.

The president previously said "I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
But White House has since said Biden “was never in business with his son.”

But Jean-Pierre insisted, “Nothing has changed,” despite things demonstrably changing.
Another reporter asked if she would specifically say that Joe Biden had not had discussions with his son. She refused to answer that question, again saying she had nothing to “add” from Monday.
"Can you say specifically that the president did not have discussions of any kind with Hunter about his business dealings?"

Fox’s Jacqui Heinrich said she wanted to ask the White House some questions but the White House is trying to put them off, claiming Hunter’s a “private citizen” while he’s riding in a Secret Service motorcade. Heinrich asked, in a report, who is paying for that. Presumably us.
Did American Taxpayers pay for Hunter Biden’s motorcade to court?

It’s frustrating that we can’t get answers, Heinrich said. She made the point that we mentioned before, Hunter Biden is still allegedly being investigated for a potential Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) violation, as the plea deal proceedings revealed. As I wrote the other day, Devon Archer’s attorney revealed that his client had testified before a federal grand jury on questions about the foreign business dealings. Heinrich said her network wanted to ask about a Special Counsel being appointed but KJP didn’t call on Fox; she called on others.
“But the language has changed,” Heinrich acknowledged. She said it’s the difference between “no knowledge” and “no involvement.”
But if he’s on the phone in business meetings, he is “involved.” If he’s taking photos with the business partners to help Hunter’s business deals, he is “involved.” If he’s supposed to get a percentage cut of the proposed business as in “10 percent for the big guy,” he is “involved.”
So not only are they trying to do an Orwellian two-step, either way, it doesn’t add up.
