We found out in October 2020 from a message on Hunter Biden’s laptop that Hunter was supposed to be holding 10 percent of the joint venture with CEFC for the “Big Guy.” Tony Bobulinski — who was involved in the deal — identified Joe Biden as the “Big Guy.”
Now, there’s more information about the “Big Guy.”
According to the NY Post, when the laptop story broke back in October 2020, James Gilliar, who was also involved in the CEFC deal, sent a panicked text message to an unnamed person to talk about the “Big Guy,” when it became clear that some of this was going to come out.
In the message, Gilliar, 58, reassured the person that the revelations about Biden’s apparent involvement in his son’s foreign deals would not be damaging — regardless of the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
Gilliar was asked if “Hunter and/or Joe or Joe’s campaign [would] try to make it ‘Oh, we were never involved’ … and try to basically make us collateral damage?”
“I don’t see how that would work for them…,” Gilliar responded in the 6:07 p.m. message reviewed by The Post.
“I think in the scenario that he wins they would just leave sleeping dogs lie,” Gilliar added.
“If they lose, honestly, I don’t think that the Big Guy really cares about that because he’ll be too busy focusing on all the other s–t he is doing.”
While they were worried about what might come out, Tony Bobulinski then spilled the beans that Joe Biden was aware of and involved in the CEFC deal. Bobublinski was supposed to be the CEO of the new joint venture. Bobulinski turned over everything he had to the FBI. He even said that he had two meetings with Joe Biden — one in May 2017, at the end of which Biden told him: “Thank you for helping my son….My son and my brother trust you emphatically, so I trust you.”
Bobulinski claimed he had a second meeting the following morning with Biden backstage at the Milken Institute Global Conference, where the then-former VP was speaking about cancer.
“Keep an eye on my son and brother and look out for my family,” Biden told him, according to Bobulinski.
Two weeks after the meeting, Gilliar sent Bobulinski an urgent message on the encrypted WhatsApp messaging service on May 20, 2017, warning him not to mention Biden’s involvement in the CEFC deal.
“Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid,” Gilliar told Bobulinksi in the message.
“OK they should be paranoid about things,” Bobulinski replied.
The “Big Guy” also came up in the grand jury investigation into Hunter Biden, when at least one witness was asked about who it was, which would seem to indicate they’re looking into the China connections.
As we reported, there was also a voicemail from Joe Biden to his son after a NY Times story came out detailing some of Hunter’s China dealings. Joe said to his son, “I think you’re clear.”
Why would Joe say that unless he knew that there were issues that could be problematic? And why would Gilliar be panicked–unless there were things to be panicked about? Here’s a voicemail from one of the other people involved, Rob Walker, telling Bobulinski that if he talked, you’re just “gonna bury all of us, man.”
A voicemail is aired showing that Rob Walker, the spouse of Jill Biden’s former top personal White House aide, told Tony Bobulinski “you’re just going to bury all of us, man" when he learned he would go on record with the facts. pic.twitter.com/l5zE73WYmM

They knew that this could raise all kinds of questions about the connections.
This newly revealed text was one more piece about the “Big Guy” and his involvement, which showed that Joe Biden lied when he said he knew nothing about his son’s business. Not only did Joe know about it, but he was also involved in it and allegedly getting a percentage of the proposed take.
We’ve reported on a lot of the contacts that Joe Biden has had with Hunter’s business associates over the past two years. According to Fox, he met with at least 14 Hunter business associates while Vice President, including having dinner with them, flying Hunter to China on Air Force Two to meet with Jonathan Li, and flying Hunter and one of his business partners to Mexico City to try to meet with business associates while Joe was meeting with the President of Mexico.
Two of Hunter’s Mexican business associates, Miguel Aleman Velasco and Miguel Aleman Magnani visited the West Wing on Feb. 26, 2014, according to the Obama White House visitor logs, and Joe was later photographed with Hunter giving Velasco and Magnani a tour of the White House Brady Press Briefing room.
“Do you have pictures from the lunch I had in dad’s office (I think on 2/26) with Miguel Alleman [sic] Sr. And Jr. And Jeff Cooper? If so let me know and I can send someone to pick them up. Thanks. How was Kiev?” Hunter wrote in an April 2014 email to David Lienemann, Biden’s official photographer during his 8 years as vice president.
Hunter chastised Magnani in a message, saying he’d come across with everything Magnani asked for, that he’d brought everyone Magnani asked to the White House, the Vice President’s House, and even the inauguration, but Hunter was mad because Magnani wasn’t coming across on his end on the business deals.
Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee said he thought the “dam is breaking” finally on all this, and that in January, “Republicans will use the gavel to get answers for the American people.”
“Hunter and members of the Biden family have peddled access to the highest levels of government to enrich themselves. This is an ethics nightmare and national security threat … McCarthy and Oversight Committee Republicans are determined to hold the Biden family accountable for their shady business dealings with foreign adversaries.”
We’ll have to see how this all plays out after the midterms.
