Joe Biden moves left yet again. And who was it who claimed this guy was a moderate?
We’d been told that among his final choices for his SCOTUS nominee were Kentanji Brown Jackson and Michelle Childs. The man who helped get him into office, Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC), had been heavily pushing for Childs. Childs also seemed to be the one who might have the most bipartisan support, since the Republican senators of her state of South Carolina, Sen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Tim Scott, have spoken highly of her.
So, you would think that Childs would be the choice. Unless the point was to go left of that. She apparently wasn’t left enough for the folks behind the throne, deciding on the pick, and Biden is going to throw his benefactor under the bus.
Biden announced from his Twitter account that he has chosen Ketanji Brown Jackson as his nominee to the Supreme Court.
I’m proud to announce that I am nominating Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve on the Supreme Court. Currently serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, she is one of our nation’s brightest legal minds and will be an exceptional Justice.https://t.co/iePvhz1YaA pic.twitter.com/Nzqv2AtN8h

Jackson is presently serving on the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She accepted the nomination on Thursday, after Biden called her and made the offer.
Jackson clerked for Breyer and served as a federal public defender in Washington — an experience that her backers say is fitting, given Biden’s commitment to putting more public defenders on the federal bench. She was also a commissioner on the US Sentencing Commission and served on the federal district court in DC, as an appointee of President Barack Obama, before Biden elevated her to the DC Circuit last year.
She would be the first black woman on the court. Biden had said he would only be considering black women for the position. If she is confirmed she would add another liberal in place of a liberal leaving, but it remains to be seen how liberal she would be. Given how far left Biden has been in his moves so far, I’m guessing that’s very liberal.
Will she have the votes? They can confirm her with 50, but will they have any Republican votes? Sens. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Lindsey Graham all voted for her to the appellate court. But, Graham is already mad that they threw Childs under the bus.
If media reports are accurate, and Judge Jackson has been chosen as the Supreme Court nominee to replace Justice Breyer, it means the radical Left has won President Biden over yet again.
The attacks by the Left on Judge Childs from South Carolina apparently worked.

He made reference to the fact that they’re continuing to pick elites from the Ivy League, something which Childs would have broken, since she went to Duke School of Law.
I expect a respectful but interesting hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The Harvard-Yale train to the Supreme Court continues to run unabated.

We likely wouldn’t hear the anger publicly from Jim Clyburn, but it has to be massive at this point. The Left appears to have achieved their aims in knocking out Childs.
