Everyone is a human being.

Even Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the guy who has been an important face for the Trump administration in the fight against the Wuhan coronavirus.

During a briefing on efforts on Friday, President Donald Trump mentioned that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had to leave the meeting to get back to the State Department, or as Trump joked, “the Deep State Department.” Fauci couldn’t contain himself, you could see him cracking up in the background.

It appears he tried to stifle it. But in so doing he broke one of his cardinal rules about touching his face.

It was a very human moment in the middle of addressing a serious issue.

So how did media and folks on the left try to spin that?

Some implied that Fauci was laughing or facepalming at Trump (of course, leaving out the context of the moment).

NBC’s White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell provided one of the worst takes on the moment.

What apparent anger? It was a joke and a funny moment. There was no anger whatsoever. Not to mention that Fauci was clearly trying to stifle a laugh with the joke.

It takes a lot of chutzpah to spin it like that when it’s clear on the video she cites that she’s falsely describing it.

Notice also that not only is she spinning the moment, but the unbiased network also has a “stock sell off” counter in the corner.

But remember, media doesn’t take a side.
