Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's fall from grace has not only been precipitous, but it's also been satisfying (and fun) to watch because he more than deserves it after what he's done to his state. In one of the latest developments, it just got even more enjoyable — and humorous.
The embattled governor's daughter, Hope Walz, is definitely a chip off the old block. In an interview with One Hour Detours host John O’Sullivan, she conceded there’s “enough truth” to the state’s massive (Somalian) welfare fraud scandals — though she quickly shifted into daddy's spin mode to downplay the dickens out of the whole thing:
I think there was enough truth to the fraud claim, [but people] were able to twist it and amplify it and whatnot because it is being dealt with. They were just able to frame it in a way that benefited them.
Translation: "Don’t believe your lying eyes — just trust my dad when he says 'it’s being dealt with.'”
Yeah, no, sorry. Tim Walz is presently among the least trustworthy political figures on the national stage. In fact, as I see it, Walz is currently the hood ornament of the Lying Left™.
Ms. Walz continued:
There is truth to, you know, there is fraud that needs to be dealt with. And so, it’s just like something they could latch onto and then twist however they needed to.
You're joking, right? Just one problem, as I reported yesterday:
U.S. attorneys have suggested the fraud has involved billions of dollars since 2018.
Yet, while state agencies were warned early about multiple red flags, they did virtually nothing as the massive amount of fraud continued to grow even more massive.
Instead, Minnesota bureaucrats continued to approve site after site, while costs to taxpayers exploded from a few million to over $100 million a year — in one program alone. If this isn't a textbook case of big-government spending with almost zero verification, I'm not sure what one is.
So, Ms. Walz, how would you rate your dad's "dealt with" efforts to track down and take action against the fraud?

Clearly, the Family Walz is in panic mode — for good reason.
Like all "good" leftists, Tim Walz has an arm's-length relationship with the truth at best, which is nothing new. But now that the walls are closing in around him while he continues to puff out his chest, the lies are coming one after another as he tries to ride out the next 11 months of his disastrous term.
Nevertheless, Ms. Walz continued to twist herself into an illogical pretzel throughout the interview, including commenting on Daddy's sudden decision not to seek reelection:
[W]ith things rapidly changing within the last month ... [and] I don’t want to speak for him, but I think when things started getting really intense for me like on my social media and then people even saying things like to [her brother] Gus and stuff, I think that’s when he was really like, 'Okay, like, I need to evaluate what’s best for the state and then I need to evaluate what’s best for my family.' And then, I think it was just kind of a natural conclusion.
Oh, in a rational world, of course it would be "kind of a natural conclusion." Thing is, Tim Walz is anything but natural.

As more and more fraud continues to be revealed, the salient question is whether Tim Walz will be able to cling to power until January 2027, when he would leave office.
Frankly, I hope he does; nothing would be better for the GOP than this guy continuing to double down and refusing to resign, all the while melting down in his ridiculous outbursts.
