Syrians celebrated in the streets after Israel assassinated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Sept. 27. The longtime leader's death rekindled painful memories of atrocities the terrorist group committed in the 2011 Syrian civil war, which led to the deaths of more than half a million civilians.
Now, Walid Phares, a leading expert on Hezbollah and Lebanon, has told Fox News Digital that Hezbollah "committed ethnic cleansing" in Syria. Phares said the Lebanese terrorist group was also responsible for "uprooting of millions of Syrians, of all communities, mainly Sunni."
Phares described horrific crimes, the hallmark of Islamist terrorist groups.
They have perpetrated rape. They have perpetrated mass sexual abuse, including keeping sexual slaves.
Phares said other brutal activities included mass starvation and kidnappings.
Prior to the current conflict between Israeli Defenses Force and Hezbollah, which began on Oct. 8 with the terrorists ultimately firing a reported 8,000 missiles at the Jewish state in the aftermath of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack against the Jewish state, the terrorist group was primarily known in America for its 1983 bombings of the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, which killed 306 people, including 241 U.S. military personnel.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, along with other left-wingers, continue to call for an immediate ceasefire by Israel. Go figure.

Phares warned that Hezbollah "is a global threat," adding: "Look at how they treat their own women and how they separate them and organize them in the service of jihadists."
While untold numbers of conservatives and other informed Americans take heed of Phares' admonition, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, along with the rest of the Democrat Party, continue to pander to Muslims, with only the ballot box in mind.
