'Not Just Another Oct. 7': Top Hamas Official Promises 'War of Liberation Is Coming' Soon

As the Israel-Hamas War resumed after the ceasefire was broken when Hama fired into Israel, a top Hamas official "promised" in an interview with Lebanese media that the terrorist organization would "soon" launch a "war of liberation" against the Jewish State — larger than the horrific Oct. 7 massacre.

In the interview, transcribed by MEMRI (The Middle East Media Research Institute), senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan was asked: "If you could go back in time to October 6, would you still do what you did on October 7?"

His response was immediate and direct:

Why do some people assume that we would go back on our acts of resistance?

"So you have no regrets?" the interviewer asked. Again, Hamdan was resolute.

Regret for shattering an entire division of the occupation army?

Hamdan's response was either chilling, ignorant, delusional as hell, or a twisted combination of all three.

The terrorist leader only took into account the number of IDF forces he claims have been killed, and even if he included the roughly 1,400 innocent Israeli men, women, and children slaughtered by his organization, he appeared to simply dismiss the number of Palestinians killed (so far) by Israel's military massive response, which Reuters estimates at more than 10,000.

Then again, Islamist terrorist groups have proved for decades that they're more than willing to sacrifice their own people in pursuit of their radical goals.

The interviewer then got more direct:

You said that if the Israelis would make new arrests, after all the prisoners are released from [Israeli] prisons, you would carry out another operation. So can you promise another October 7?

Hamdan calmly responded:

I can promise that a war of liberation is coming, not just another October 7.

"In the foreseeable future?" asked the interviewer, to which Hamdan replied: "I do not think it is far off."

So, let's think this through.

Hamas is in the process of getting the everloving hell kicked out of it by the IDF, which is armed with state-of-the-art military hardware. Yet, Hamdan asserts that an even larger attack on Israel than Oct. 7 is not that far off. I'm no war-planning genius, but how or why would anyone believe that, A: launching an even larger attack against Israel makes sense? And, B: that launching it in the foreseeable future wouldn't result in an even worse blistering?

Unless the objective of Hamas is not to defeat Israel militarily, that is.

While the terrorist organization's programmed "foot soldiers" commit unspeakable attacks of barbarism, the Hamas leadership is far from stupid. Of course, they see — and are bolstered by — pro-Palestinian demonstrations around the globe, including in the United States and Europe. And of course, they see that Joe Biden and his administration are pressuring Israel to rein in its military response in Gaza. This isn't brain surgery, gang.

Political commentator — and all-around really smart dude —Victor Davis Hansen said it best in a recent essay titled "What Were the Hamas Monsters Thinking?"

Hamas relies on useful Western idiots. It understands its terrorists repel the majority of Americans. But it figures Western and globalist institutions — academia, the media, popular culture — in their wealth, ignorance, and self-importance, alleviate guilt and find resonance by mouthing the shibboleths of the “underdog."

Hamas and its enablers in Europe and America have done more harm to the Palestinian cause and idea of Middle Eastern immigration to the West than at any time since 9/11.

Bingo. Joe Biden and Antony Blinken were unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, the band plays on.
