'Effective Immediately,' Paul Pelosi Kicked out of Police Group for Flashing Membership Card After Drunken Crash

Well, lookie here. After Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi was given a virtual slap on the wrist nearly three months after drunkenly running a stop sign in his shiny new Porsche and striking a Jeep, he has now been unceremoniously kicked out of a California law enforcement association — effective immediately — for idiotically flashing the group’s membership card to cops during his arrest.

As to the slap on the wrist, as reported by my colleague Jim Thompson, Pelosi initially pled not guilty, which changed when his attorney and the DA agreed to terms. Privileged Paul — not in court on Tuesday — this time pleaded guilty through his attorney to driving under the influence and causing injury.

Paul Pelosi’s sentence?

Five days in jail, although the judge noted that Pelosi had already been credited for four days — two for actual time served and two for conduct credits — and the remaining day will be covered by an eight-hour “work program.” The sentence also included a 90-day drunk driving program, one year with an ignition interlock device, restitution payments, and three years on probation. Based on the condition of both vehicles, as shown in crash site photos, Pelosi was fortunate he didn’t kill anyone — including himself.

Now, how about being kicked out of the law enforcement association?

The California Highway Patrol 11-99 (CHP 11-99) Foundation informed Pelosi of his termination in a Wednesday letter, the group said in a statement shared with Fox News. The group requested in the letter that he return all CHP 11-99 membership items that he currently possesses.

The statement was surprisingly harsh — as it should have been.

After evaluating the events that lead to Mr. Pelosi’s arrest and conviction, we are revoking Mr. Pelosi’s lifetime membership with the CHP 11-99 Foundation effective immediately.

The mere presentation of his 11-99 Foundation identification credentials to law enforcement made it appear that he was presenting them for preferential treatment whether that was the case or not which violates the terms and conditions he agreed to on his membership application.

These actions reflected poorly on the 11-99 Foundation and undermined our important mission.

In its Thursday statement, the 11-99 group’s board also spoke to members and the public about its purpose, while firing a bit of a warning shot, as well.

We’d like to remind all our members and the public that the purpose of 11-99 membership is to show support for the sacrifice and life-saving work CHP employees carry out daily across the state to keep our families safe.

“We will continue to evaluate any violation of our membership terms and conditions that is brought to our attention with due process and revoke any member who is found to violate those terms.

The bottom line:

While we knew Paul Pelosi was never going to receive serious jail time or have his driving privileges suspended, one can only imagine how the gasbag reacted when she learned what occurred that night.

It’s not like Nancy herself hasn’t been suspected of being a bit “tipsy” on more than a few occasions. Now, her hubby gets booted from a California law enforcement association, and again grabs national headlines. Or, maybe Nancy being Nancy, she simply brushed it aside like any other such bother.

Either way, such a deserving couple, huh?
