Two LEOS Dead; Schools Locked Down, Manhunt for Suspect in Orlando

It’s been a rough day for the people of Orlando, and it isn’t over yet. Orlando Police have confirmed that one of their own has died, Master Sgt. Debra Clayton a 17 year veteran of the department was shot while in the line of duty. During the manhunt for her killer another member of law enforcement has also reportedly been killed in a motorcycle accident. The Orlando PD has taken to social media for assistance in their search.

A statewide man hunt is now on for suspected cop killer, Markeith Loyd. Law Enforcement is asking for the public’s help in locating him. It should be noted that Loyd is the suspect in two homicides so the public probably shouldn’t approach, just call the authorities.

CNN is reporting that a Sheriff’s Deputy has also been killed, as part of the manhunt:

An Orange County deputy sheriff was killed Monday during a manhunt for the gunman who killed Orlando police Master Sgt. Debra Clayton earlier Monday morning, the sheriff said.
The deputy, who was not identified, was on his motorcycle when a vehicle turned in front of him, Sheriff Jerry Demings said.
A witness told CNN affiliate WFTV the shooting happened at a Walmart, and the gunman was wearing a security uniform.
“He walked by me, had a security vest and everything,” witness James Herman told WFTV.
“I was walking down the sidewalk, right past the officer, and I heard her tell him to stop, or whatever, and he shot her. He shot her down.”
Herman said the man continued to shoot behind him as he was running from the scene.

I know this is confusing. It’s also still developing…
