In 2020, a set of oppressive restrictions were imposed on the American people in response to COVID-19 that had never before been so much as suggested, let alone witnessed, in all of human history.
Our businesses, schools, churches, and even doctors’ offices were peremptorily shut down by government fiat.
We were forbidden from leaving home for activities deemed inessential and from commiserating with friends and family in groups deemed too large.
When, after months, a return to some skeletal semblance of normal human life was finally permitted, for many it was only on the condition that they never appear in public with their faces unmasked.
A lot of Americans still find themselves living under some of these burdensome rules. And many more are hearing from those who’ve assumed the power to regulate every aspect of their lives that, any day now, they can expect to be living under them again.
Of course, any fool could instantly see shutting down the whole country was sure to create a plague of serious problems—many, but by no means all, perfectly foreseeable.
Yet, somehow, the medical experts insisting on the necessity of this punishing course of treatment behaved as if the question of unwelcome side-effects had simply never crossed their minds.
The man who the media anointed as perhaps the greatest medical mind in all of history somehow didn’t realize that shutting down diagnosis and treatment for cancer and other serious ailments would cause an enormous death toll of its own.
Nor did it somehow ever occur to Anthony Fauci that the social isolation and economic hardship he was so keen to inflict on the American people would drive countless already struggling under the weight of depression and chemical dependency to kill themselves or overdose on drugs.
But Fauci’s incomparably brilliant mind didn’t merely overlook the common-sense idea that a prolonged state of isolation and fear was likely to weaken our immune systems. His encyclopedic knowledge of medicine somehow didn’t include the decades of research establishing that his crushing restrictions would leave us all more vulnerable to—not just COVID-19—but every single disease that exists, as uncontroversial scientific fact.
Fauci also somehow neglected to consider that locking down our nursing homes and depriving residents of all human companionship was bound to vastly accelerate the progression of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Nor did he anticipate the obvious fact that the frailest among us would wither away and die feeling alone, abandoned, and unloved.
Fauci says he can't think of any reason besides C19 for the excess deaths we've suffered since his lockdowns began. He must not read the Washington Post. Even they reported Fauci's lockdowns had killed over 13,000 elderly Alzheimer's patients by Aug 15. https://t.co/0Et8a2nqEL pic.twitter.com/sCoDN2GdkZ

And, as hard as it is to fathom, to this day, Anthony Fauci still insists he can’t think of a single novel cause of death apart from COVID-19 that might have besieged us this year.
Here's an article Anthony Fauci can read between TV appearances explaining some causes besides C19 for the excess death we've suffered since his lockdowns began. https://t.co/sxIwjxUQVB pic.twitter.com/N3PMPDODS6

But it wasn’t just the blind eye turned to all the misery, hardship, and death lockdowns were sure to bring. The benefits accrued were just as purely theoretical as the catastrophic consequences were inexorably real. Indeed, the idea that lockdowns were going to accomplish anything at all depended on a number of assumptions there was every reason to think were false!
For one thing, there was never a shred of scientific evidence that putting healthy people in quarantine would do anything to ameliorate the spread of COVD-19. In fact, everything we knew about viruses made the idea of quarantining people who aren’t sick completely absurd.
I’m old enough to remember when we viewed people who behave this way as lunatics. pic.twitter.com/p5C7R6qN9T

Even the CDC’s most recent pandemic planning guide from 2017 admitted that “direct evidence for the effectiveness of these measures is limited.” And by “limited” they meant non-existent. There wasn’t a single study that supports the idea that quarantining healthy people was going to do a damn thing to stop a virus from spreading.
The European Centre for Disease Control’s summary of the research was more honest. They noted that “there are few, if any, empirical data underpinning” the assumptions that workplace closures do anything to stop viruses from spreading. Indeed, they found no evidence for the effectiveness of any social distancing measures. But, unlike Anthony Fauci and CDC director Robert Redfield, they were very clear on all the misery they cause, labeling the direct costs “major” and the deleterious secondary effects imposed “massive.”
Here's European Centre for Disease Prevention on effectiveness of workplace closures. If you look at link you'll see there's not really any solid evidence for ANY social distancing measures. https://t.co/y0Excr3EjC pic.twitter.com/qgOLWXwEQF

Another review of the research published in the journal, Biosecurity and Bioterrorism, concluded:
There are no historical observations or scientific studies that support the confinement by quarantine of groups of possibly infected people for extended periods in order to slow the spread of influenza.
And the reason they mention influenza specifically is that every single study that has been done on the subject was narrowly focused on whether isolation is effective against the flu. So, even if any of them had shown that locking down would accomplish anything—which, again, NOT A SINGLE ONE DID—it still wouldn’t have proven anything about some mysterious new virus we were constantly assured was nothing like the flu.
Here’s another literature review that concluded this. Notice to that the only studies we had are for influenza. So even if they’d shown anything it wouldln’t have proved anything about COVID. But they didn’t anyway. https://t.co/UlQdiUNgYA pic.twitter.com/5x1anPiaRu

As the previous study noted, in 2006, the World Health Organization concluded that “forced isolation and quarantine are ineffective and impractical.” Of course, that’s a long time ago. But W.H.O. reiterated the very same dismal take just last year.
— Ivor Cummins (@FatEmperor) November 21, 2020
Note that W.H.O. found “no obvious rationale” and deemed the quality of evidence for imposing quarantine “low” even when someone without symptoms has had “contact with an infected person.”
Similarly, the previous study in Biosecurity and Terrorism rejected quarantine even when someone without symptoms is “possibly infected.”
The fact is that the vastly more extreme practice that’s inflicted so much heartache and death on us this year of locking down healthy people when there isn’t even any evidence they’ve been exposed to the virus is so outlandish that not a single researcher has ever even bothered considering it.
In March of 2020, when Fauci was pushing us into lockdown, you would have found lots of research saying that there was no reason to think putting healthy people in quarantine would accomplish anything had you bothered looking. But you wouldn’t have found a single one reporting any solid evidence that the economic and social catastrophe that was sure to ensue would yield any counterbalancing benefits.
There are a number of good reasons why that’s so, one of which Anthony Fauci himself pointed out months before he decided brutal lockdowns were in order. As Fauci noted at a press conference on January 28, people infected by respiratory viruses who, nonetheless, aren’t showing any symptoms are so unlikely to be contagious that:
In all the history of respiratory-borne viruses of any type, asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks. The driver of outbreaks is always a symptomatic person.
Yes, that hypocrisy annoyed me too. Broad rules of biology don’t change, even if someone says they do.
— Yardley Yeadon (@MichaelYeadon3) September 21, 2020
Fauci’s assurance that people without symptoms present no threat—as well as the obvious corollary that there’s no reason to lockdown healthy people or force them to wear masks—wasn’t in need of any confirmation. As Dr. Mike Yeadon points out above, Fauci was just reiterating a well-known law of biology.
Dr. Yeadon also discusses the point in an important article he wrote explaining how false positives are generating a phony COVID-19 pandemic long after any real one has passed.
Looks like we’ve caught another CCP collaborator: UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
Excellent work @MichaelYeadon3!https://t.co/T5BIQFwXYi

In case you don’t know who Mike Yeadon is, he’s the former Vice President for Allergy and Respiratory Research for Pfizer Global R&D, a Ph.D. biochemist and pharmacologist, and he’s responsible for an impressive amount of important research into respiratory viruses. So Dr. Yeadon knows of what he speaks.
However, though the utter pointlessness of Fauci’s lockdowns wasn’t in need of any verification, as I reported back in August, a study on COVID-19 released a few months back, nonetheless, showed that it was no exception to Dr. Yeadon’s “broad rule of biology,” and there was never any reason to lockdown the vast majority of us who aren’t showing any symptoms.
But just yesterday, a new even more comprehensive study appeared in one of the world’s most prestigious scientific journals showing that, just as Fauci himself asserted before he started trying to push us into locking down, asymptomatic transmission of SARS-CoV-2 doesn’t present any more of a threat than Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster
As part of the study, which was published in Nature, “1174 close contacts of the asymptomatic positive cases were traced.”
And, just as any honest expert would have predicted, the percentage who contracted the virus is so negligible that it doesn’t warrant worrying over.
It was zero. Out of almost 1200 people who had close contact with an asymptomatic person infected with SARS-CoV-2, not a single one caught the virus
Is that negligible enough for you?
Wow! Just poublished, in Nature no less: Asymptomatic spread is not a thing. Our lockdowns of the healthy were largely for nothing, except to destroy societal health.
The Chinese KNOW, and now WE do too
So 2019 WHO guidelines were correct: no asymptomatic quarentine recommended🤨 pic.twitter.com/pb6ouJyMPm

There was never any reason for the carnage that’s been inflicted on us or the defiling of America’s founding commitment to individual liberty that made it possible.
Fauci and all the other experts who pushed us into lockdowns have been perfectly aware that quarantining healthy people is pseudoscientific quackery all along.
Just as they had to be aware of all the horrific consequences that would be caused by the degrading rituals and pointless restrictions they eagerly encouraged our elected officials to inflict on us.
There’s nothing very complex going on here. Healthy people don’t spread viruses. That’s why the idea of putting them in quarantine has never before been suggested in all of human history.
Indeed, as I pointed out in an article last month on Dr. Harvey Risch, an esteemed epidemiologist from Yale who’s explicitly accused Fauci of willfully causing the death of hundreds of thousands of Americans because he’s in bed with special interests that profit:
If it hadn’t been marketed under the nifty sounding name “social distancing” along with that idiotic slogan we were taught to mindlessly bark at each other, Flatten the curve!, but instead been described accurately as quarantining the healthy, everyone would have immediately realized the preposterous BS we were being fed.
An atrocity was committed against the American people. At this stage, the evidence is so overwhelming that anyone who says otherwise is no better than a Holocaust denier. In some ways, he’s worse, since this atrocity happened right before our eyes.
This is just heartbreaking no words.
They are destroying the elderly. 💔
People need to cop on this can't go on. 😓 pic.twitter.com/uI3Qz4lucO

And, like so much else that’s gone so awfully wrong with America, no one with authority seems to care.
If our politicians and government officials don’t do something about one of the greatest crimes against humanity in all of history, we’re going to have to figure out a way to do something about them.
If our country’s going to have any future, we’re going to have to stop waiting around for someone else to save us and start figuring out how to go about saving ourselves.
And we’d better start understanding that now because pretty soon it’s going to be too late.
