Teacher’s unions, not satisfied with hijacking our education system for left-wing causes, now want to weaponize Artificial Intelligence instead of increasing students’ Actual Intelligence.
The nation’s teachers’ unions are joining forces with top tech companies to ensure that AI pushes DEI and other radical initiatives.
Defending Education blows the lid off this simmering story:
The integration of AI into education is not a matter of if but when. The problem is that unions, left-wing activists, and groups in the education field are already setting the foundation to use these AI tools to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to students during their formative years.
The goal of these groups is to implement DEI ideology into AI before it can be fully integrated into America’s education system. If DEI is embedded in AI before schools adopt these new tools, then DEI, as part of AI, becomes institutionalized in the nation’s schools once the tools are adopted.
The teachers’ unions working with this Big Tech cabal to construct WAI (Woke AI) is a "who’s-who list" of education players. That includes the National Education Association (NEA), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), the California Teachers Association (CTA), the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).

The American Federation of Teachers (AFT), for example, created the National Academy for AI Instruction, a joint $23 million initiative kickstarted with the United Federation of Teachers (UFT), Microsoft, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
Those are some of the biggest names in AI. They are also very left-biased.

“Most AI chatbots are already extremely leftwing, and 1 in 5 adolescents and young adults are using AI chatbots for advice or help when they felt upset, nervous or anxious,” Kangmin Lee wrote. “Letting Democrats have control and dictate the direction of AI is national suicide.”
As you can see, only XAI’s Grok offers conservative points of view, while every other one pushes left-wing talking points and a meager amount of “both sides” answers.
Nonetheless, the teachers' unions insist that the predominantly white and Asian coders who came up with these AI platforms are biased, and therefore, instituting a kind of “Jim Code.”
If Kamala Harris and Wall-E had a baby, that's the kind of Artificial Intelligence these teachers' unions want.
The Defending Education report lays out a number of concerning developments. Here are a few lowlights:
- The NEA has an “AI in Education Hub” that promotes the idea that AI produces biased answers that follow the worldview of those who created it
- The NEA has a “Task Force on Artificial Intelligence in Education” that produced a report in 2024 that emphasized the importance of equity in AI tools for schools
- The AFT created guidance called “Commonsense Guardrails for Using Advanced Technology in Schools” that aims to “protect students and educators from problematic aspects of the new technology while embracing its potential benefits”
- The CTA has a “Public Schools: AI Working Group” that developed AI guidance for K-12 schools explicitly calling to enforce “equity”
- The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) states on its website for an AI academy that “every aspect is guided by data privacy, anti-bias, and equity”
Even though the Trump administration declared a "Joe-had" against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, DEI refuses to DIE.
Few teachers’ union heads have been as outspoken about this as AFT head Randi Weingarten.
The AFT is so blatantly partisan it gives nearly 100 percent of its campaign contributions to Democrats.

It’s no surprise that Randi Weingarten openly blasts conservatives, not even bothering to hide her rabid partisanship.

Teachers' unions are just Democrat political weapons! DEFUND THEM ALL
Weingarten also targeted Elon Musk in a screed about AI.
“Students need their teachers — real human beings, not robots and not chatbots,” she said in a speech at the National Press Club.
Well, the problem with her is that some states are so fed up with teachers they are even trying out the idea of "teacherbots."

Lip filler and sheer creepiness aside, you’ve got to admit with such teachers it’s gotta be tempting. After all, teaching is a profession where results are optional.

The cost of university tuition keeps going up and up, but the salaries of graduates aren’t moving.
Instead of weaponizing AI, teachers’ unions should be using it to make education more cost-effective, trim the bloated bureaucracy, ditch the political propaganda, teach relevant job skills, and improve outcomes.
But that would take the kind of Actual Intelligence that you won’t learn from AI.
