President Donald Trump faced a question from reporters, who were obviously carrying the water for the Democrats, about the high price of things, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stepped out to bring the receipts.
During a press conference on Friday in the Oval Office for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's visit, Trump was asked by a reporter about affordability as the Democrats continue to play this game that Trump is the reason for high costs, not former President Joe Biden, who allowed inflation to skyrocket during his presidency.
POTUS says KEEP IN MIND: we inherited the HIGHEST INFLATION EVER RECORDED through Biden. It can't be fixed overnight - but we're working on it.

Tuesday Was a Bloodbath for Republicans, So What Now?
"Do you remember that the Biden administration had the highest inflation in 48 years?" Trump replied. "Do you remember that? Did they have the highest inflation in 48 years? Just answer me the question."
The reporter refused to answer, so President Trump continued and reminded the member of the press, "You know the answer. The answer is 'Yes.' They had the worst inflation in 48 years. We have almost no inflation."
"We are down now to two percent. And we will be at maybe one percent….they were at the highest level in recorded history," Trump explained, pointing out that energy costs are down by 40 percent under him, compared to the cost of things like gasoline, which is now at $2 a gallon, compared to $4 and $5 under Biden.
Trump called out the "fake news" who he said will not report all his administration has done to lower things, including eggs, which under Biden had tripled. It was then that Leavitt stepped out from behind reporters and brought the receipts about how prices are down since Trump took office.
President Trump and his entire Administration, from the NEC to Treasury to USDA, are working hard every day to address the affordability issues created by Joe Biden, who unleashed the worst inflation crisis in modern American history — something the liberal media barely blamed… pic.twitter.com/C4safTryW9

The White House Press Secretary said it was "very unfortunate that the reporters in the room refuse to address, sir, what you just said, which is that you inherited the worst inflation crisis in modern American history."
"And you are fixing it in 10 short months," Leavitt said. "Your entire administration has been tasked with this effort from the Treasury Department to the Agriculture Department to the National Economic Council right here at the White House; they are slashing regulation."
"He [Trump] signed the largest middle-class tax cut in six months, in record time, putting more money back into the American people's pockets," she added. "So, affordability is what the American people elected this president to do, and he is doing it."
"And you guys refuse to cover it," Leavitt continued. "And you refuse to cover that the previous administration created the worst unaffordability crisis in American history. And I have been watching the TV all day, saying that he doesn't want to talk about affordability. That's what he's working on every day. And that's what this administration is doing."

Gobble Up the Savings: Thanksgiving Meals 3 Percent Cheaper This Year
On Wednesday, the White House noted that this Thanksgiving will cost less than the year before, RedState reported.
A statement from the White House read:
President Donald J. Trump promised to crush inflation and lower prices — and he's delivering this Thanksgiving, with the classic holiday feast about 3% cheaper than last year, according to a brand new report. Americans are seeing across-the-board price declines for the holiday staples, with dinner rolls down 22%, frozen vegetables down 15%, and items like turkeys, stuffing, gravy mix, fresh cranberries, and pumpkin pies all costing less.
And yet, as my RedState colleague Bonchie reported the day after Democrat victories in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and California, polls showed voters blamed Trump for failing to make things more affordable in the short ten months simply because he's the guy in the Oval Office, and reporters are continuing to hit Trump on it.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
