Shady shenanigans continue to surround democrat socialist Zohran Mamdani's New York City mayoral campaign, and the latest reportedly involves, at best, him misleading donors as to where their money would end up.
In a report from Dana Loesch's Substack, it broke down donations that ended up in Mamdani's campaign donation but were reportedly supposed to be directed at several charities he was connected with, including one in which he partnered with Aafia Chadhury from LIC Support to run his own meals campaign, Ramadan Iftar Meals for Astoria/LIC COVID19 Relief during the pandemic.

According to evidence provided to The Dana Show, back in 2020, when Mamdani was running for NY assemblyman and offered his storefront office in Astoria to several food charities, like Astoria Food Pantry, he made some questionable moves:
At some point during Ramadan, Mamdani met Gustavo Guerra, a music producer looking to help out local charities. Guerra and his friend Mike Dean had sold T-shirts during COVID and decided to use the profits to help various causes. Guerra says that Mamdani introduced him to the Astoria Welfare Society, run by Mohammed Jabed Uddin.
Guerra and Dean agreed to donate $12,500, with the intention that at least half of it go to the Astoria Welfare Society. Guerra even did an interview with NY1's Roger Clark, hyping the Astoria Welfare Society. The other half was meant for Mamdani's meal program.
And here's when the shady part kicked in. A leaked email chain showed that Mamdani suggested the money was first deposited into "Chadhury's personal bank account," but when Dean inquired about a 501(c)(3) designation for tax purposes, the democratic socialist "suggested sending the money to a third-party organization, Muslims Giving Back (MGB), that Chadhury worked with."
It went on:
MGB was running a similar Ramadan meals program in Midtown, and they agreed to accept the funds on Mamdani's behalf. What happened to the money after that is unknown. According to our source, the Astoria Welfare Society eventually received about $500 out of the $12,500, when they were supposed to get over $6000.
Interestingly, Mamdani was quoted in a GrubStreet August 2020 story saying his campaign raised $65,000 for his Ramadan Iftar Meals project, yet his LaunchGood Campaign only raised a little over $53,000. That's a difference of $12,000. So does that mean that Mamdani kept almost $5,500 that was meant to go to the Astoria Welfare Society? Seems pretty shady.

ALSO: Mamdani's New York Mayoral Campaign Collected Thousands in Illegal Donations
RedState recently reported about the $13,000 the socialist candidate received in illegal donations from foreigners.
The New York Post report read:
Lefty socialist and mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani's campaign quietly took in nearly $13,000 in potentially illegal foreign donations — including one from his mother-in-law in Dubai, The Post has learned.
At least 170 of the nearly 54,000 contributions to the leading Democratic candidate's campaign came from donors with addresses outside the United States, an examination of NYC Campaign Finance Board records found.
Only US citizens or permanent legal residents are allowed to contribute to political campaigns and political action committees under federal, state and city law, and candidates are expected to return any of the illegal donations. Violators who knowingly accept foreign donations could face hefty fines and imprisonment.
Something always just seems to be not on the up and up with Mandani. Take the most recent tall tale he used to gain sympathy regarding his "aunt," who he said wore a hijab, reportedly being too afraid to use the subway after the September 11th terrorist attacks. When pictures of his only living aunt surfaced showing her not wearing one, guess who quickly changed his story.
As my RedState colleague Sister Toldjah reported, Mamdani clarified his remarks, saying it was his father's late cousin he was referring to.
Toldjah wrote:
In an update to this story, Mamdani, after being questioned on the discrepancies:
"I was speaking about Zehra fuhi, my father's cousin, who passed away a few years ago," Mamdani explained, about the relative, whom he said he affectionately called his aunt.
Shady doesn't seem to be quite strong enough for this guy. Come on, New York City!
