Democrats continue to keep the government closed, and now it's tourists visiting Washington, D.C., that are getting hit hard by the ongoing Schumer Shutdown.
In a statement on X, the Official White House Rapid Response account wrote that because Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has refused to rein in the radical left in his party and pass the clear CR (Continuing Resolution) to keep the government running, tourists traveling to the D.C. will find the doors of the famed museums and the zoo closed.
All Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo are now closed due to the Democrat shutdown, resulting in "a big disappointment" for the tourists and taxpayers who fund them.

The White House has tried to stem the pain inflicted by the Democrats on those employed by the government by taking steps to ensure that those in the military and law enforcement continue to get paid.

Speaking to members of the press on Tuesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) didn't pull any punches and pointed out some of the crazy things that the Democrats want funded, many that aren't even in our country, before reopening the government.

"It would also restore up to $5 billion of American taxpayer funds for wasteful spending for international projects," Johnson said.
He pointed out that this is actually in the Democrats' counterproposal on the CR to keep the government running:
–$24.6M for climate resilience in Honduras
–$13.4M for civic engagement in Zimbabwe
–$3.9M for LGBTQI+ democracy grants in the Balkans
–$2M for organizing feminist democratic principles in Africa
"We're not doing that," he concluded.
Bottom line here is that the Democratic Party is hurting Americans. It is insane that they are refusing to play ball because Republicans do not want to waste millions of dollars on woke projects around the world just so they appease the radicals in their party.
Johnson is correct to bring on the heat against them and point out that your plane delays are because Democrats want to spread their poisonous leftist policies around the world instead of taking care of Americans.
