Leftist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker is facing a backlash after a clip went viral showing his dog crying during a live stream after he got upset with her, with many alleging Piker used a shock collar on his pup to get her back in line.
Warning: the language in the clip contains profanity.
I always wondered how Hasan kept his dog behind him all stream.

It’s because he’s been using a shock collar on a setting so high that his dog FUCKING SCREAMS when he uses it.
Using your dog as a prop to seem more friendly relatable and down to earth when in reality

It all started when Piker was doing a livestream, and his dog in the background of the shot got up and started to walk around. She walked on all fours and made no crying noise of any kind. And then, when she appeared to step down off her perch and walk away, the leftist host got furious with her.
"Kaya, please just [....] go, just stop," Piker said.
People noticed that he appeared to reach for something off-screen, and then the dog cried. He then replied, "You're being such a baby."
Texan YouTuber Tectone, born John Robert Robertson, posted the clip on X and wrote a profanity-laced response, claiming Piker had allegedly used a shock collar to control his pup.
"I always wondered how Hasan kept his dog behind him all stream. It's because he's been using a shock collar on a setting so high that his dog [....] screams when he uses it.”
"Using your dog as a prop to seem more friendly, relatable, and down to earth when in reality, the dog isn't sitting there of his own volition but stays there out of fear," he added. I am beyond disgusted."
"F*** this man's whole existence."
Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show," also reacted to the clip and said he wasn't surprised to see someone who spreads violence would allegedly be violent.
Totally unsurprising that someone who fetishizes political violence (against conservatives) would so nonchalantly use a shock collar on his innocent dog as a live stream prop. If he treats his dog like this … https://t.co/qJOoJ8zEb8

Another user found a clip of a guest saying the dog's collar was way too tight, suggesting he was choking the pup. In response, the leftist host replied she just has a lot of "neck meat." But the eyeroll from the guest nailed it. And instead of being a normal person and feeling some kind of remorse, he just hit back.

The backlash got loud enough that Hasan finally responded in a Twitch stream, although he didn't out-and-out deny it.
Here's his response. We report, you decide:
"They're claiming that the most well-trained, and the most spoiled, best kept dog on the planet is actually being abused by me, apparently, because I gave her the place command while she was getting off, and then she yelped … I suspect it's coming from some crazy haters."
The report went on:
Reading a comment from one viewer who wrote that he had shocked the dog with a button, before responding sarcastically: "Yeah, in my evil villain lair."
Piker also claimed that the dog must "have either jumped off a bed in a strange manner or clipped her foot."
But watching that clip, that is not what appears to have happened.
As my RedState colleague Brandon Morse reported, Piker has no problem saying violent things.
Morse wrote:
The Twitch streamer known as Hasan Piker has said many bombastic and highly controversial things, such as "America deserved 9/11" and that the rapes of innocent Israeli women on October 7 don't matter to him in the grand scheme of Palestinian resistance.
This is a developing story. Check back with RedState for updates.
