Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was confronted on live TV with a poll showing just how much Americans approved of President Donald Trump's deportation policies following a weekend of anti-ICE raids in the city.
On Monday, a CNN host asked Bass about the network's poll showing the overwhelming support for Trump's administration program to deport Immigrants illegally in the United States.

BASS: "I think if you did the polling in Los Angeles, I'm not sure it would be that way. We are a city of immigrants!"
The poll showed that the number who approved is 54 percent, while those who didn't are at 46 percent.
A CNN anchor asked Bass, "Are Democrats out of touch on this issue?"
Rather than acknowledge the truth that was staring her in the face, Bass decided to ignore the facts and tried to suggest instead that if the poll had been taken just from those who live in Los Angeles, the results might be different.
"Well, I think if you did the polling in Los Angeles, I'm not sure it would be that way," Bass replied. "Considering we are a city of immigrants. And then people might approve that policy. But do people really approve the federal government coming in and seizing power from a state and from a city?"
Her later comments were in response to President Trump not playing games with California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom or Bass when it comes to the riots that resulted in violence against law enforcement and chaos by the lawless rioters after he called in the National Guard to help police who were under assault over the weekend.
RedState has been on top of what went down in LA and reports just how out of touch Newsom, Bass, and Democrats are on this issue.
We heard from them over the weekend of anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles that "protesters" were mostly "peaceful" while they attacked President Donald Trump for having the temerity to send in the National Guard to help protect the citizens and federal agents. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) was among the Democrats pontificating and getting it wrong.
Rather than effectively focusing on the problem and supporting federal law enforcement, you had people like California Gov. Gavin Newsom doing performative theater to challenge Trump. He claimed the rioting was because of Trump and dared him to arrest him. Newsom earlier claimed that calling out the National Guard was unnecessary and that they had things under control.
The report noted that even Los Angeles Police Department Police Chief Jim McDonnell wasn't putting up with the Democratic narrative during his press conference on Sunday night.
"We are overwhelmed … There is no limit to what they are doing to our officers," McDonnell said. "And again, as I mentioned in my statement, I can't thank our folks enough and our partner agency police officials for going out there and taking care of the community."
When pressed by the media if the National Guard was really needed, McDonnell didn't hesitate and said, of the riots, "This thing has gotten out of control."
He then called out the radical leftists causing the violence, who he said were causing "one civil unrest situation to another. Using similar tactics frequently, and they are connected."

He vowed those individuals responsible for the violence would be arrested.
"There are video accounts of what happened everywhere … we will go after very aggressively all available video, analyze that video, and hold whoever we can accountable for the variety of different crimes committed," the LA Police Chief said.
Editor's Note: President Trump isn't going to allow lawlessness to reign in America. We will not have a repeat of 2020's "Summer of Love."
