In the Georgia contest for United States Senate between Republican Rep. Mike Collins (GA-10) and former University of Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley, Decision Desk HQ has projected that Collins has defeated Dooley, 54 percent to 45 percent, with 56 percent of precincts reporting.

Collins received the endorsement of President Donald Trump, and a recent poll showed he had a comfortable lead over Dooley. Certain legacy outlets projected that Collins would win the nomination for the Senate seat handily, and despite an early lead by Dooley, that is what Collins did, edging Dooley out by a comfortable nine points.

Collins will face Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) in November for the Georgia seat.
