On Tuesday, California State University, the nation’s largest four-year public university system, announced that in September, classes at its 23 campuses would be held almost exclusively online. Ventura County (CA), which has recorded 19 deaths from COVID-19 out of a population of 900,000, announced a forcible quarantine program last week, which was walked back after fierce backlash from residents. On Monday, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee announced 13 criteria restaurants in the state will have to meet in order to reopen for dine-in service. They must maintain a record of each customer “including telephone/email contact information, and time in” to facilitate contact tracing if necessary. And in Michigan, an elderly barber had his license pulled by the state’s tyrant of a governor, Gretchen Whitmer, as our own Thomas LaDuke has been chronicling.
