No, it’s not a wake. Notice there are Joe Biden campaign posters set up in the front of the room where a casket would normally be.
It was the latest stop on former Secretary of State John Kerry’s “We Know Joe” tour. Eleven voters turned out on Saturday night in Clinton, Iowa, to show their support for former Vice President Joe Biden. Supporters were waiting for Kerry to arrive. In the tweet below, New York Magazine’s Olivia Nuzzi includes a photo of the venue she had taken. Her caption read, “And no, for those asking, this wasn’t a funeral home.”

All along, Biden has said he doesn’t expect to win the Iowa caucus which is now less than a month away. Still, this is ridiculous!
Real Clear Politics shows Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) taking the lead in the state with 21.3% of support. In second place is South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 20%, followed by Biden with 17.7% and Sen. Elizabeth Warren with 17%.
Nationwide, incredibly, Biden continues to maintain front runner status with 29.3% support. His closest rival, Sanders, is a full nine points behind.
Given that, shouldn’t the room be a little more crowded?
A reader commented that the Biden campaign will spin this. 11/15. Almost.
