What President Trump has done in a short matter of time to completely close our southern border is truly unprecedented. Frankly, it’s historic. The anger Americans feel towards Democrats in leadership and the Biden administration is very real—they simply allowed millions of illegal aliens to flood into our country. How much of a difference has Trump made at the border? Well, the San Diego Soft Sided Facility, which houses 1,000 illegals, has announced it’s closing. With a daily average arrest of just 38 illegals a day, they’ve decided they no longer need the facility. 

On "Fox and Friends" this morning, Charlie Hurt put it this way: 

The border is closed. And it's kind of remarkable to think about, if any president accomplished what President Trump has accomplished at the border, you could just sort of go home. Of course, that is not the case with President Trump, he is still working. This is what the chief patrol agent in the San Diego sector wrote: "Due to the unprecedented decrease in illegal crossings this year, the massive 1,000-person San Diego Sector Soft Sided Facility has been dismantled. In 3/2025, San Diego Sector arrested 1,199 illegal aliens with an average of 38 per day. This was a 186% drop compared to March of 2024." 

A drop of 186 percent. That’s an insane number. Think for one moment what has happened here. We had an election, which Trump won in a landslide. Now, just five months later, we are closing migrant facilities. What’s even more infuriating for Republicans is the fact that this has all been done by executive action; Congress has yet to pass a border bill that will substantially beef up our efforts to an even greater capacity. The message from President Trump and others across the administration has been unmistakable—do not come here or you will be immediately sent home. It’s becoming clear that those who wish to cross into our country illegally have gotten the message.

Could it really have been this simple? Serious action taken through the executive branch, and a messaging campaign consistently outlining what will happen if you decide to enter America illegally? The success has been unfathomable. During his speech to a joint session of Congress in March, President Trump previewed the incoming changes and current success: 

Six weeks ago, I stood beneath the dome of this Capitol and proclaimed the dawn of the Golden Age of America. From that moment on, it has been nothing but swift and unrelenting action to usher in the greatest and most successful era in the history of our country. We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplished in four years or eight years and we are just getting started.” 

Later in the speech, he dropped this truth bomb on Democrats: 

The media and our friends in the Democrat Party kept saying we needed new legislation. We must have legislation to secure the border. But it turned out that all we really needed was a new president… Joe Biden didn't just open our borders, he flew illegal aliens over them to overwhelm our schools, hospitals and communities throughout the country.

I’m not tired of winning, that’s for sure. While we still have a long way to go in order to realistically get our country back on track, the leadership we’re seeing from the entire administration has been on point. The cabinet, White House officials, Vice President J.D. Vance, and the entire team are singing from the same songbook. It’s a wonder to behold. We are living in a historic moment, and for conservatives, we’re just getting started. 

Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
