The left is typically wrong on most subjects, but when it comes to the climate, they’ve been historically wrong every time. You’ve heard the phrases, “even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then” or “a broken clock is correct twice a day.” Well, when it comes to the left's hypocrisy surrounding their climate pet projects, they’ve never been right. We were never supposed to make it through the 2000s, yet here we are. Let’s take a look at the worst offenders. 

Global warming. Climate change. Environmental justice. It’s all just made-up words for the climate cult to grift off of true believers. When you hear the left talk about climate change, I want you to hear money bells ringing in your ear—the Democrat climate agenda is all about the money.  

We’ll start with the legend himself, Al Gore. In 2009, CBS reported that Al Gore told the U.N. Climate Conference that the latest data "suggest a 75 percent chance the entire polar ice cap will melt in summer within the next five to seven years." How did that workout? That was in 2009. Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, two years prior to that prediction. For Gore, business is booming. Yahoo Finance puts his net worth at a whopping $300 million. I’m certain there is no amount of embarrassment that would pull him away from his climate grift—this has been a decades-long racket for him, and monetarily, a successful one.

Remember the Green New Deal? Led by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) (a real dynamic duo), this is a bad deal for America. I will start by giving them credit, it’s very brave of them to put these insane polices down on paper for all to see. 

At the time of its release, the Congressional Western Caucus in the House of Representatives released the cost of the Green New Deal and the numbers are staggering. They estimated the entire GND cost at $93 trillion over a ten-year period, which comes out to $65,000 per American. Imagine trusting someone in the government who would even propose such a number? Senator Bernie Sanders and AOC still support this madness. The report itself states, “Liberal economist Noah Smith estimated that the cost of the Green New Deal without all the promises listed in the FAQ would be $6.6 trillion annually. That is three times as much as the federal government collects in tax revenue and about 34 percent of U.S. GDP. Under the Green New Deal, Smith estimates that nearly 75 percent of the economy would be spent by the government.”  

But that’s not all—during the Obama administration, the White House consistently listed climate change as the greatest threat to the country. Not China. Not Iran. Not Russia. The climate. During his seventh State of the Union address, President Obama said: 

“No challenge — no challenge — poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change. 2014 was the planet’s warmest year on record. Now, one year doesn’t make a trend, but this does — 14 of the 15 warmest years on record have all fallen in the first 15 years of this century.”

While in office, President Obama didn’t personally make money off the climate grift, but his friends sure did. Now, thanks to the Biden administration, democrats are really cashing in. In March of this year, the New York Post reported a massive climate slush fund headed by John Podesta, a longtime Clinton ally. The report states: 

“The Biden administration funneled at least $20 billion into environmental groups, most of which had only recently been founded, The Post has discovered. In one case, former Vice President Kamala Harris handed over a check for nearly $7 billion to Bethesda, Maryland, based group Climate United Fund, which does not appear in the IRS’s charities database, and has no federal filings. The non-profit fund had only been incorporated in Delaware on November 30, 2023, according to public records, five months before Harris handed over the cash in April 2024.” 

Twenty billion dollars to a non-profit that had only been incorporated five months before receiving this money? Who is going to jail? I know the Trump EPA team is working to claw back this money, but what an obvious ploy from the Democrats who claim to care so much about the environment. Imagine if President Trump gave a $20 billion check to a pro-life group? The left would burn down the White House.  

On this Earth Day, let’s remember what the Democrats really care about—money. Frankly, this is only a few examples of about 1,000 I could have picked from. Thankfully, President Trump has moved to end this madness.
