I find the vandalism of the Reflecting Pool incredibly fascinating. It's almost like an interesting gauge for how insane the left has gotten.
If you haven't been following the story, RedState has been covering it since the beginning. After Trump completed the restoration and beautification of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool...
... actually no, let's go even further back.
While the restoration was ongoing, various leftist accounts, including the one owned by California Governor Gavin Newsom (D), kept trying to make it seem like what Trump was doing to the Reflecting Pool was ugly and disgusting. They would post pictures of the unfinished restoration with copy like "Bang up job Donald!"

They wanted this to fail, and to be honest, it's a pretty stupid thing to want him to fail at, for starters. It's just the beautification of American landmarks, which every president or governor should be keeping up with in the same way I tend to my lawn, or Gavin tends to his hair. We should all want America to look good, well-kept, and respectable. It reflects on us as a country.
But the left cannot stand the idea of anything positive happening under Trump. Every victory, even if it's a victory they share in, is a loss. So they root against anything he does, even if it measurably improves their lives, such as deporting hardened criminals or reducing crime through better policing.
Fast forward to the completion of the restoration, and as we've been reporting, some people are purposefully sabotaging our nation's Reflecting Pool.
Let me emphasize that for just a moment. It's not Trump's. It's not the Republican Party's. It's all of ours. Right, left, white, black, brown, gay, straight, Christian, atheist, what have you. It's everyone's.
The problem got so bad that people are actually facing charges now for their vandalism, as reported by my friend and colleague, Ward Clark.

You reportedly had Antifa literally distracting cops by causing havoc on dirt bikes, while others swooped in and began dumping algae and peeling sealant while the police's heads were turned.

And the media is only fueling the frenzy by pointing out things like peeled paint from the bottom of the Reflecting Pool drifting in the water.
Ask yourself this question: How many reports have you seen about the Reflecting Pool from the legacy media, and how many reports have you heard about Islamic violence in the Western world?
This isn't politics or protest; this is just straight-up lunacy. This is adults having a childish temper tantrum and destroying things because they've been programmed to have disdain for someone by a media that doesn't even care about them in the first place. This is just desperate hate. There's no reason attached to it. It's just people allowing themselves to fall into some sort of psychosis because they were convinced they were the good guys for doing so.
This is the Tesla destruction all over again. Just a bunch of lunatics who think they're morally superior while they do morally abhorrent things, and what's more, they think they're getting one over on Trump, when really they're just destroying things that belong to you.
