I can remember years ago when I was going over the Black Lives Matter website, of things they aimed to accomplish and the beliefs they held. Among them, right in the middle of the list, was the mention of their work to collapse the nuclear family.
An interesting addition, but one that exposed exactly where the Black Lives Matter system of beliefs originated from. The destruction of the family is a communist agenda item. In fact, any authoritarian government's top priority is to make sure the kid is more theirs than yours. Any government that attempts to do so exposes its hand about who they are and what they believe.
As my colleague Bob Hoge wrote, that's exactly what California has done recently.
As he reported, a bill is being moved through California's legislature that effectively allows children to divorce their parents:
Assembly Bill 1967 is moving through the California Legislature with barely a ripple of public attention. The bill, authored by LGBTQ rights activist-turned-Assemblymember Rick Zbur, would allow children of any age to initiate state dependency proceedings against their own parents. The parents will not even know this has happened until the die is already cast.
The bill allows any minor residing in any residential facility to file a legal application against their parents, without cause or evidence of harm.
Catch that? The child doesn't need a reason. Just claim to want a divorce for any reason, and the state will happily oblige.
This is being pushed by the LGBTQ+ community, as Hoge points out, but let's be clear, that's just the means, not the cause. As I've pointed out in the past, the Democrat Party doesn't even really care about the LGBTQ+ community, and is more than happy to ditch them when it's politically expedient.

The aim is always control, and there's no better way to secure control than by making sure your children grow up to be good little obedient soldiers of the state. Public schools, the Scouts, and even the rules and regulations by which people can parent are always being altered into a state that pushes ideas on children that, more often than not, separate them from the traditional beliefs their parents more than likely have.
If they can successfully convince your child to walk alone into the forest without you, then they're far easier prey. They can be caught, chewed up, and spit out as something completely different. Something more like themselves.
"Let me control the textbooks, and I will control the state," Hitler famously said.
Every authoritarian government has had the same mentality.
But the funny part is that the number one threat to authoritarian governments was never freedom fighters or liberty-minded politicians. They can be fought in the culture.
It was always the parents. Families who believe the most important thing is the health and well-being of the familial unit, not the agendas and opinions of the state. If the state's agendas run contrary to the will of the parents, then the parents have to be phased out or made irrelevant. It's the same story since time immemorial. Take control of the children, take control of the country.
To the left, children aren't born and cared for, raised and loved. They're to be engineered and trained. They aren't people, they're tools. Even if all the evidence in the world says subjecting them to the latest fad, such as transgenderism, is psychologically and mortally dangerous, it doesn't matter. They must be thrust into the lifestyle because it only makes them far more likely to vote blue no matter who.
Not only that, they're far more likely to reject God, reject traditionalism, and most importantly, reject Republicans. Conservatism becomes an evil beyond measure, and they will go to great lengths to make sure they stay out of power.
And again, it's all about power. So California's move is really just that. An attempt to use your children to achieve control over the state, and hopefully, one day, the country. Good little voters, good little activists, and good for nothing beyond that.
