Former Child Star JoJo Siwa Says She Was Pressured Into Being a Lesbian As a Minor

They always go after the kids, and they definitely want the kids who might influence other kids.

The LGBT activist community has infected the entertainment industry in a big way, with celebrities seeming to have children that identify as non-binary, transgender, or queer.

One such celebrity that went through the Hollywood ringer and came out the other side waving a rainbow flag was JoJo Siwa.

JoJo Siwa might be a name you've heard if you had little girls. The child star began as a star on "Dance Moms," then became a brand unto herself thanks to her bubbly personality and overly large bows. Nickelodeon gave her a deal in 2017, catapulting her to mainstream stardom, and her music career launched into the stratosphere with her song "Boomerang," which garnered over a billion views.

Recently, Siwa has gained more infamy than fame, spiraling into what looked a lot like desperation to stay in the spotlight. She ditched her bubbly, pop-girl look to embrace what I can only describe as KISS meets the WWE, featuring songs that talk about sex and cheating, including a music video that featured her getting sensual with other women.

Siwa had spent a great deal of her young adult life proclaiming she was a lesbian and embracing the LGBT community, even just months ago wearing a jacket that said "protect transkids" on the back, with two daggers crossing behind it. In fact, Siwa had been so loud about it that she took every chance she had to display her lesbianism, wearing rainbow-colored outfits and dying her hair in likewise ways.

But recently, Siwa infuriated the LGBT community after she released videos and photos of herself in a romance with a man, including a photo of her lying in a bed under the covers with one.

This man is Chris Hughes, a 32-year-old British TV star, and this relationship has caused a stir, but not as big a stir as what Siwa recently revealed. According to an interview with the Daily Mail, Siwa revealed she was pressured to be a lesbian from a young age.

"When I came out at 17, I said, 'I’m pansexual, because I don’t care [about gender],'" she said. "But then I kind of boxed myself in, and I said, 'I’m a lesbian.' And I think I did that because of the pressure."

"In a weird way, I think it came a little bit from inside the community at times," she added. "From people I know, from partners I’ve had. You just get put in this world where you feel like, because you now have said, 'Oh, I'm a lesbian,' you have to be a lesbian. And the truth is, sexuality is fluid."

As you can see, Siwa still exists within the LGBT idento-sphere, but what can't go overlooked is the fact that pressure to be anything at all came at her when she was young, and that the LGBT community really pressured her to be something she wasn't.

I'm not too concerned with her sudden relationship with a man. Siwa has always been something of a fame chameleon, and doing what's necessary to maintain the spotlight. Perhaps she'll grow more into her current relationship, and one day we'll hear her say she never actually believed any of that and she matured enough to realize it was all stupid. Probably not, but maybe.

What I'm more focused on is the fact that this was all pushed on her when she was a child. Her image was always a manufactured one, and one has to wonder if this was all part of the manufacturing. We now know Siwa isn't really a lesbian, and that was all pressure. So the question has to be asked: is her identity as "pansexual" and "queer" also something she was shoved into and now just lives by because it was forced on her?

How many kids went through the same thing, with those around them pushing them to be something they're naturally not? How many were led there through Siwa's influence?

How do we stop this abuse from happening to more?

The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie.
