Waving foreign flags as they burn our cities, raid and plunder, attack our law enforcement and troops, while trying to occupy our land and calling for the death of our leader? Sure feels like an invasion to me.
Like you have, I've been watching the riots unfold in LA, as well as some of the ancillary protests popping up in other parts of the nation that aren't getting nearly as spicy. As I'm watching all this unfold, I can't help but play a little mental game in my head.
I like to think about what would happen if something like this went down in another country. If I started rioting in Mexico with a bunch of other Texans, burning cars, attacking police, looting shops, and getting physically violent with others while declaring this to be "our land"...

... I'm pretty sure the Mexican government wouldn't be half as kind about it as we are. They wouldn't offer me welfare and a hotline to legal aid. Their politicians wouldn't be on television sympathizing with me, pretending I'm not destroying everything around me, and finger-wagging at patriotic Mexicans wanting me to stop and leave.
But these invaders do have sympathy they don't deserve, so much so that you have anti-American haters from America willing and ready to assist them in any way they can, including joining in on the invasion.
The kicker is: That so many Americans don't see it as an invasion is a testament to our kindness, patience, and willingness to hear out the other side... or at least that's how it was for a very long time. That patience has worn thin, and that goodwill has run dry.
You probably saw the report from CNN.
As Nick Arama reported on Monday, America is siding heavily with Donald Trump on deportations of illegal immigrants.

It's a loud rebuke, and one that tells a story.
America has tried so many different ways to make this problem better, but constant incursions onto American soil brought with them crime, kidnappings, murder, financial burden, and all to the tune of absolute thanklessness and anti-American attitudes.
Now that Americans have had enough, and we're beginning the process of moving these illegal aliens out, do we see how they really feel. They're doing everything an invasion force would do.
They're burning, pillaging, assaulting, attacking troops, intimidating the locals, occupying land, calling for the death of our leader, all the while waving the flag of their homeland above our soil.
This is slowly becoming less about being legal or illegal; this is now about loyalties. Are you an American or not? Do you want to wave a foreign flag and work against the American people, or do you want to stand with this great nation, have its laws enforced, and its people and future secured in the American fashion?
This isn't just about citizen or non-citizen, this is now a battle of ideologies. Forget buzzwords like MAGA or party politics. Are you with the United States of America, the free and prosperous nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and that believes in law and order... or are you for neo-barbarism, waving the conquering flag of foreign nations, or special-interest groups, or sexualities as you curse and spit on the American flag?
I think that our kindness was mistaken as weakness, and I think it's time we rectify that confusion with some well-stated, and well-demonstrated ass kicking.
