For all the preaching from Democrats about the care they have for the least fortunate and the protection they give to the oppressed, they sure don't seem to look at these people as people.
Case in point, the way Democrats talk about illegal immigrants is all humanitarian on the surface, and absolutely dehumanizing just below it.
As Fox News reported on Tuesday, Vermont Democrat Congresswoman Becca Balint was trying to make the case that we need illegal immigrants when she got a little vulgar about how the need for them:
Vermont’s sole U.S. House member was lambasted on Tuesday after video surfaced of her warning Vermonters that unless the feds increase immigration to the U.S., "we’re not going to have anyone around to wipe our a--es."
Vermont Republican Party Chairman Paul Dame said Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vt., should apologize for her remarks both because of the "crude choice of words" and "disturbing sentiment" that the primary reason for allowing immigrants in is to "perform labor that she deems beneath the dignity of others."

"We won't have anyone around to wipe our asses."
So, that's what Balint thinks illegal aliens are good for. Huh.

I'm not actually concerned about the vulgarity. Republicans use it from time to time, including Trump, so I'm not going to get to clutching my pearls over words.
What I think is actually disgusting is the fact that these Democrats just effectively told you how they see these illegal immigrants. They're not people. They're not the oppressed.
They're the help.
First off, you wanna talk about racism? There it is. Democrats go on and on about how these people are just coming here for a better life, standing on some sort of moral soapbox, and wagging their finger at those who want these illegals deported.
Then they turn around, and say the quiet part out loud, making it clear that what they really see in these people is a cheap labor force that makes the Democrat's personal life and costs more comfortable.
This isn't the first time it's happened either.
It was January when Democrat Strategist Jenn Arnold sat on a CNN panel discussing Donald Trump's deportations when she dropped the line "I can't wait until American women can't get blueberries for their smoothies."

This was actually said. Out loud. Without any self awareness for how exploitative it comes off.

We need to pause for a second and realize these aren't just isolated incidents. These are honest moments caught on camera.
I want illegal immigrants deported post-haste. I recognize that some of those being deported aren't criminals or gang members, and really are here because they want to live in a system that's prosperous and safe. I can recognize that and still want them deported.
But I don't stop seeing these people as people. Not the ones who truly just want a better life, at least.
Democrats don't seem to have that view. They don't feel sorry for them, they see them as tools that can either help them get elected through promises and benefits or as a labor force that helps them get cheaper smoothies and help around the house. This is dehumanization dressed as care for the needy and oppressed.
It's a compassion grift. They're lying about their motivations in order to keep a permanent underclass that provides continuous benefits through its labor. Convenience is the goal, not compassion.
And that should honestly raise alarm bells for everyone, not just illegal immigrants. Democrats have empathy for you... so long as you're useful. The moment you stop being useful is the moment the compassion dries up. Start being a bit of a nuisance, and you'll watch as the same people who threw parades for you on Wednesday will try to destroy you on Thursday.
With friends like these, who needs enemies?
Ladies and gentlemen, the Democrat Party has entered the age of "the soft bigotry of low-cost labor."
