Even before Donald Trump took the White House, Democrats and the press were shouting “impeach” from the rafters and began cooking up reason after reason to do so. Trump’s impeachment became the center ring in the left’s circus, and despite every reason for it falling through, Democrat’s droned “the show must go on” in unison and a new reason was cooked up.

Eventually, Democrats in the House impeached him and threw themselves a party, not bothering to talk much about the fact that Trump was acquitted by the Senate. It wasn’t really about the impeachment anyway, it was about the legacy-ruining show brought on by the impeachment trials. Trump was actually doing really well in running the country, and that can’t be a thing we remembered at the time or down the line. It was a superb distraction.

But now the shoe is on the other foot, and Democrats appear to be gazing at an oncoming tsunami of trouble on the other side of the midterm storm. They know it’s going to come crashing down on them and proceed to make their lives incredibly more difficult than it already is…because they created it.

According to The Hill, Democrats are seeing their own tactics being used against them by Republicans on the horizon shortly after Republicans wrest control of the House and Senate from them after the midterms:

Scott Jennings, a GOP strategist and former campaign adviser to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), warned that Democrats had opened a “Pandora’s box” during the Trump administration.

Republicans are “engaging in the behavior that they’ve been taught by Democrats,” Jennings said, adding that using a potential post-2022 majority to probe the botched Afghanistan exit would be an “absolute justified use of every oversight lever they have.”

To be sure, many Republicans are floating the idea of impeachment around quite a bit, including Sen. Lindsay Graham.

“I think he should be impeached. I think this is the most dishonorable thing a commander in chief has done maybe in modern times,” Graham said.

Graham would chair the Senate Judiciary Committee if and when Republicans win the Senate back. He’s also joined by Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Florida Rep. Byron Donalds according to The Hill:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) filed three impeachment resolutions against Biden, including for “dereliction of duty” of the Afghanistan exit, “endangering the security” of the United States and “countering the will” of Congress. The third was unrelated to Afghanistan, but about the eviction moratorium.

Republican Rep. Byron Donalds (Fla.) called for Biden to “resign immediately” following the United States’ “botched withdrawal” from Afghanistan, while House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (N.Y) and Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) said Biden is unfit to hold office

Impeachment isn’t the only option on the table either. Florida’s Sen. Rick Scott is invoking the 25th Amendment as a way to remove Biden from his position as well.

“Is Joe Biden capable of discharging the duties of his office or has time come to exercise the provisions of the 25th Amendment?” Scott tweeted.

It was all inevitable. McConnell’s near prophetic warning of the impeachment proceedings by Democrats being like the opening of Pandora’s Box is coming true. The only difference is Republicans are about to impeach Biden for very real reasons, not made-up ones designed to distract and destroy.

Biden’s many failures, from Afghanistan to the border, are creating some very real problems that are getting Americans killed and ruining the credibility of America all over the world. If anyone deserves to be impeached, it’s Biden, and if anyone deserves to be dragged into the light via investigations and committees, it’s the Democrats pulling his strings.

The midterms are getting closer and closer and the failures of the Democrats are piling up. Expect impeachment to be a big part of the Republican platform.
