Despite Its Wokeness, Dems Make White Male Joe Biden Their Top 2020 Pick

I’m Back Baby. Sorta.

The increasingly prevalent radical wing of the Democratic party has a very loud bark, but apparently, its bite isn’t as effective as they’d have hoped it was.

This radical sect of the Democrats have made it clear that they don’t want another white male leading the party, especially after they just had a black president and a female nominee. Many have expressed disappointment that despite the party’s wokeness, it’s still holding up white men as their first choice for president.

And despite all their blustering, it would appear that the rest of the Democrat are unmoved. According to The Hill, a new Morning Consult poll is showing that former VP Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) still lead the pack with Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) coming in third:

Biden, who has yet to announce whether he will enter the 2020 race, leads the pack with 31 percent, the survey found. Coming in a close second is Sanders, with 27 percent support among Democratic primary voters.

The poll results signal that, if Biden enters the race, he’s likely to emerge as an early front-runner in an otherwise crowded primary contest.

It also suggests that Sanders, who announced his second bid for the White House last month, has early momentum among the very voters he’ll need to court if he hopes to win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020.

The Morning Consult poll shows Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) with 11 percent support among Democratic primary voters, while Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) took 7 percent and 6 percent respectively.

Last November, a Morning Consult poll showed similar results with Biden leading Sanders, but with Robert “Beto” O’Rourke bringing up third. However, Biden seems to have only climbed in percentage numbers, having had 26 percent then.

It will be interesting to see what the reactions to this will be in the coming months, but as it stands, Biden looks like he’ll be the early favorite to win going into 2020. As it stands, the party may find itself in inner turmoil over Biden’s popularity.

On Monday, CNN hosted a Democrat panel and asked what they thought of Biden as their frontrunner. None of them seemed to want him.
