Jill Biden has a book out, and she is involved in the expected media blitz. In doing so, she is dredging up all of the involvement of the press in carrying the water for her husband’s administration. The focus on her appearances has been on the disastrous debate performance that torpedoed his reelection and saw him removed from the ticket.
Jill contradicts herself in that she writes that she suspected he had a stroke that night, and later that same evening, was celebrating his performance and proposing that he run for four more years. But we are seeing very little questioning of the former First Lady on this matter, largely because doing so will like bring discussions on how the press covered up Joe’s condition.
Texas State Rep. and U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico has become Platner-like for the press, as the desire to back this Democrat means they need to tout the guy with several issues himself. One desperate spin is from The Bulwark, where it has been disputed that Talarico has declared himself a vegan, and the accusation has been that this was a fabrication by Republicans. Small matter: Talarico did declare his campaign would be meat-free. But Andrew Eggars is here to explain away that contradiction.
Worse than this was Eggars' Bulwark cohort, Tim Miller. He took on Talarico’s controversy of God being non-binary. Miller decided this was a prime opportunity to mock Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on the issue by speaking crudely about God’s genitalia. But making this all the worse, Talarico appeared on stage with Miller at a Bulwark event, and he laughed along with Miller as he continued with the vulgar references to God. Again, a man of the cloth right there.
Then, to close out, we look at ABC News taking a sympathetic look at illegal immigrants. Yes, again. This time, they claim there is a severe spike in immigrant suicides among those in captivity. We look at the numbers and do something unique – we bring the facts.
Now, crack one open and savor some outmoded media malpractice and misinformation.
