The New York Times was on brand this week. As a new study was being released detailing the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists in Israel, the paper trotted out its dependably anti-Israel writer, Nicholas Kristof. Nick had an allegedly scathing report on the alleged Israeli treatment of Palestinian prisoners.
There is all manner of alleged mistreatment, from beatings to sex assaults and…dog rapes. What there is no manner of is tangible evidence. Everything is based on first-person testimony, and nothing else. No documents, reports, corroboration, photos, medical files, or any other firm proof. Kristof includes supposedly valid studies from the U.N and a European group on the crimes – which are based entirely on the same type of verbal claims.
Also, we look into the coverage of the big story raging at the moment, the redistricting fights in various states. The coverage is predictably partisan, and the media come off looking like desperate fan-boys and girls. Then we toss in with an amusing dose of work from Politifact, where they strove to protect Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08). That the effort leads to the truth, experts disproving themselves is divine
Now, crack one open and savor some outmoded media malpractice and misinformation.

Nick Kristof’s piece is filled with accusations, but absent solid proof.
The United Nations and a European NGO are used to substantiate Nick’s claims, but they are filled with the same empty claims.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry went to the NY Times with a comprehensive, evidence-filled report on Hamas abuses against its citizens, but the paper passed.
Watch as Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) makes empty claims about the Virginia Supreme Court decision pertaining to the gerrymander referendum, and the media have no rebuttal for her misinformation.
Politifact tries to recast Jeffries, then unravels its own claims by quoting him directly.
Tennessee state Rep. Justin Pearson (D-Memphis) poses for a fake photo-op that has the Democrats buzzing.
This is so irresponsible: The Sergeant of Arms of the Tennessee legislature is NOT the KKK, and Justin Pearson is not ON the Congressional Redistricting Committee of Extraordinary Session II. pic.twitter.com/MNmRvKGXeM
