New: Trump DOJ Drops the Hammer on Anti-ICE Activists Who Invaded Minnesota Church

If the previously unindicted left-wing activists who stormed a church in Minnesota thought they were off the hook, they thought wrong. The Trump administration has dropped a slew of new charges related to the incident, targeting 30 people in total.

According to FBI Director Kash Patel, over 20 arrests were made on Friday.

In mid-January, a group of Anti-ICE activists, many with ties to Minnesota's Black Lives Matter movement, invaded Cities Church in St. Paul, with left-wing "journalist" Don Lemon in tow. Video taken by the ex-CNN host would eventually provide much of the evidence being used, and Lemon himself has been indicted due to his alleged coordination and participation in the attack.

That these charges are being made under the FACE Act is somewhat poetic. Under the Biden administration, dozens of pro-life activists were arrested and charged under it, some for simply standing on sidewalks outside abortion mills. The DOJ showed no mercy in sentencing either, requesting long prison stints. Lauren Handy, who was pardoned by now-President Donald Trump in 2025, was sentenced to nearly five years behind bars for a supposed "blockade" of an abortion clinic in 2020.

Well, what goes around comes around. While I'd suggest most Republicans still believe the FACE Act is unconstitutional, it is currently the law. If Democrats are going to weaponize it, there can be no compromises when the shoe is on the other foot, because the only way to stop leftists from taking their deranged activism into churches is to come down hard in this case.

We've heard all the excuses. That this was a "peaceful protest" and that the invaders had a "First Amendment right" to take over a worship service, block exits, and terrify and harass people. That's nonsense, and if you give left-wing activists an inch, they'll take a mile. The only thing they understand is tangible consequences.

Unfortunately, though, I could see liberal judges getting involved here and ensuring some of them go free. While these cases seem like far more open-and-shut than the ones prosecuted under the Biden administration, common sense and evidence don't always matter in our judicial system.
