Hoo Boy: Joe Biden Schedules His First Post-Presidency Interview, and the Details Say It All

Don't look now, but Joe Biden is back on the scene. What that will amount to is less clear, but the former president has scheduled his first interview since leaving the White House.

According to multiple reports, he will appear on "The View," perhaps the most left-wing "news" program in existence. Yes, as crazy as it sounds, that dumpster fire of a show exists under the ABC News banner. Oh, and take one guess at who will be accompanying ole Joe? That would be his wife Jill Biden, who will once again reprise her role as the failed president's public handler and senility manager.

Nothing projects confidence for a Democrat like going on "The View" and dragging your wife along to intercede if things go too far off the rails. Of course, that dynamic is hardly new. Jill Biden routinely showed up for her husband's interviews throughout his presidency and the 2024 campaign, and it wasn't to show how close they are. It was to protect Joe Biden from his own worst instincts, which have been driven by his decreasing mental capacity for years. How effective was that strategy? Well, that's another story.

Unfortunately for the former president, though, his wife couldn't go on stage with him at the presidential debate that ultimately ended his re-election bid and left him a pariah among Democrats despite their previous enabling of him. In perhaps the biggest public collapse by a sitting president in history, Joe Biden repeatedly slurred his speech, forgot what he was saying, and talked incoherently while the entire nation watched. Within weeks, he dropped out, and Kamala Harris was made the nominee. The rest is history. Very bad history if you are a Democrat.

As to how this thing will go in this interview, there are two possible outcomes. The most likely is that Joe Biden faceplants multiple times, leaving conservative commentators like me a multitude of content to capitalize on. The other is that the former president manages to not die on set, and the press tries to use that as proof that he was actually just fine all along. Of course, if that were true, then why did he drop out?

That's a question that has never been answered. To this day, Biden administration hacks will still claim his exit from the race was not about his mental competency. So what was it about? It's a great mystery, I suppose. Don't expect the ladies on "The View" to push him on it, though. Instead, you can expect a rhetorical tongue bath.
