Jamaal Bowman is back, and he really shouldn't be. The former congressman appeared on CNN on Thursday and launched into a deranged tirade against Elon Musk, calling the businessman and DOGE head a "thief" and a "nazi."
Bowman lost his seat in the House of Representatives after being primared by now-Rep. George Latimer (D-NY). That was the culmination of a series of scandals compounded by the fact that Bowman is also an insane person.

Jamaal Bowman calls Elon Musk "incompetent,” a "thief,” a "Nazi,” and says “people don’t trust him.”

BOWMAN: That's not true, and this shows again, the American people do not trust Elon Musk, and Elon Musk is incompetent in his position. And how do we know? Because they fired tens of thousands of people, it was challenged in court, the court said the people have to go back, and now the people are coming back. He's incompetent, he's a thief, he's a nazi, and people don't trust him.
You can hear Abby Phillip jump in there at the end after Bowman says what he says. She's a left-wing hack, but she's smart enough to realize having her guests say stuff like that is a liability for the network. Of course, no one made CNN bring Bowman on. That's a choice that was made, and it was a really bad one. He is not a guy who should be given a platform. He's a race-grifting imbecile who is most famous for illegally pulling a fire alarm (which he pleaded guilty to) to obstruct a congressional vote. He then promptly lost his primary and got booted out of politics. Exactly what expertise does he offer from an analytical standpoint?
Bowman's argument is idiotic on so many levels. For him to call Musk, one of the most successful businessmen in history "incompetent" is laughable. Before becoming a congressman, Bowman worked in education, where he described standardized testing as "slavery," which is essentially his response to everything. He'd blame the sky being blue on racism if he thought it would further his own prospects. Meanwhile, outcomes for students in New York plummeted during his time as an educator.
Further, a left-wing lower court judge does not have the final say on someone's competency. That's why we have the appellate process, and many of these insane temporary restraining orders, including those ordering the Trump administration to rehire laid-off federal workers will likely be overturned.
As to the claim that Musk is a "thief," that's a pretty serious charge, isn't it? What exactly has the SpaceX founder stolen? And from who? Bowman doesn't mention that, nor does he provide any evidence for his claim that Musk is a "nazi." Those aren't labels that should be thrown around so lightly, something CNN should probably consider before inviting this lunatic on the air again.
Bowman seems to have forgotten that he's no longer a congressional member. That means he no longer enjoys the broad exceptions to defamation law that House members enjoy. Given that, Musk should probably consider a lawsuit here. I understand that defamation involving public figures presents a much higher legal bar, but this doesn't stop until someone is made an example of. Bowman seems like the perfect person to fill that role.
