Photos of Illegal Immigrant Lines at Tucson Airport Leave People Confused and Angry

Bill Melugin, one of the foremost reporters covering the illegal immigration crisis, posted photos from Tucson airport on Friday evening that left people confused and angry. The pictures in question show lines of illegal immigrants with signage around them indicating they are being allowed into the country without any proper paperwork or vetting.

At least two of the signs read "Non-US Citizens Without Passports Only Enter Here," with what looks to be hundreds of people entering by them.

Foreign nationals are required to possess a passport to enter the United States. Furthermore, United States citizens can't go to Mexico or other Central American countries and enter without a passport. Yet, the Biden administration is choosing to ignore those legal requirements to expedite the release of illegal immigrants into the interior of the country.

Reactions to the photos published by Melugin have been expectedly negative, with some pointing out that they can't even carry a bottle of water onto an airliner but illegal immigrants are getting on flights without anything but a form from DHS. The current TSA system certainly seems two-tiered, with Americans being searched and scrutinized, both physically and regarding their documentation, while illegal immigrants are crossing the border and walking right onto airliners.

Of note is that illegal immigrants often discard their native IDs before crossing the border, which means there is essentially no way to prove who they are and whether they are a threat or not. Yet, they are being allowed to fly within the U.S. national airspace while anyone else would be denied boarding at the airport.

Everything about this remains unsustainable. Whatever argument that existed some years prior about doing the jobs Americans won't do doesn't exist anymore. Even Democrat bastions like Chicago and New York City are being completely overwhelmed by illegal immigrants who are not finding work but are instead soaking up limited resources.

Will scenes like this force the Biden administration's hand in compromising on a border deal? I wouldn't count on it, but I would expect public opinion to keep shifting against the president and his cohorts.
